This game is quite challenging, but also goes to great lengths to ensure it is NOT unfair at the same time. There are all kinds of telegraphs/indicators, you learn enemy placements as you play through levels, and even gain ex shields to eventually see you through the levels if you spend enough time there (you can even disable them in menu for extra challenge, if you're feeling frisky).

Generally, don't expect to breeze through it on your first playthrough, but as you stick to it, you may end up having a lot of fun.

One nitpick I have is that weapon selection menus end up being cluttered as you unlock multiple options. You by default want highest level weapon you unlocked, so why have to scroll through lvl 1/2 etc, when you want to jump to 4 right away? But that's a minor gripe obviously.

Good game! Not the typical shump though. Has RPG progression in story mode, and a store to buy upgrades like an JRPG.

But overall, a Grade A Shump!
