Anyone else find the enemy so hard sometimes they even one shot you ?

I finished the game for the first time recently, and as much as I tried to get everything, I'm definitely missing like 30 percent of the Gallery, at least. The biggest thing I missed was that I never found out where to start Elise's quest to unlock her sax scene. I always thought I would get Eleanor's, Elise's, and maybe Yngwie's (does he have one?) scenes after talking around Valnor, but that came to nothing.
