It's cute, the music is decent, the characters are likable. That's about it.

Combat is a slog, and some of the mechanics are idiotic. Vi is dead and you're fighting a flying enemy, gg. You ran out of TP (which is capped at 30 btw even though some skills cost up to 11), gg. And the TP thing is especially annoying since your base stats never improve, so auto attacking armored enemies will often do 0-1 damage. Fun!

Thus, gameplay revolves heavily around your medal configuration, which could be interesting, except there's little variety and some are practically useless.

All of the other reviews are essentially "OMG IT'S LE PAPER MARIO!!!", but it's worse in nearly every way. I didn't hate it and would probably play a sequel if it ever came out, but they have a lot to improve upon.

Not sure why people like this game so much. It's absolutely riddled with bugs.
