I seem to be stuck with this section. As soon as I go through the portal, all sound cuts out and I'm left on a rock floating in space, with a big purple guy mutely staring at me. The only action I can take is to return to the desert.

I completed all the short stories and none of the achievements unlocked for me. Is this a common issue or did I just get unlucky?
