Hey guys,

We are excited to bring you a big new update this March. Two new content will be added. The much-anticipated arrival of a brand new character is finally here along with a bigger and more interactive map.

It will also be a good time for you to jump back into HAL and resume your journey to get to the top spots in the leaderboard as Season 3 will kick off at the same time.

Let’s take a look at the update content in more detail.

Geon-Hoon, A formidable melee character who wields a giant heavy sword joins the roster. He is the half brother of Geon Hong. They haven’t gotten along well since childhood because of an incident that separated them apart which explains why there’s not much resemblance except the name.

Unlike his half-brother, he’s a ferocious warrior who finishes any enemy he sets his eye on. His skills focus on closing the distance and finishing his enemy with a powerful blow. He’s a pressure fighter whose key to victory is to maintain a distance that works to his favor. He comes with the Awoken Evil Within skin which matches his personality and combat style.

Battle Royale Map will be changed into a bigger, and more interactive map. Some of the interactive props include destructible boxes, grounds destrutible with a bomb, sliding doors, and lava zone.


There will be more confined dungeon style areas, one of which lies in the center of the map. The number of general monsters will be reduced. Instead, players will get to fight more boss monsters while there will be more buff chests and crystals to farm. All these environmental changes will have you approach the game with a different strategy.

New Season begins with lots of rewards to high-ranked players for all game modes, including Battle Royale Solo, Trio, Tag Match and Conquest.

This new update will bring new excitement to the game. We hope to see you guys in the game!

Thank you for waiting. Here is the patch note for the 1.14 update which brings you a new game mode Conquest along with Pet System and brand new character effects.

More updates and events are coming in the future as well, so please stay tuned!

CONQUEST MODE

In Conquest Mode, three players team up to play against another team to gain control of three points for victory.

Maps

Conquest Mode takes place in one of 8 spots of the Battle Royale map. It will be randomly chosen for each game. Here are the 8 spots.

- The Temple in the North of Ancient Altar
- The Fortress in the South of Ancient Altar
- Plundered Legacy
- Abandoned Village
- Fanatic Ruins
- Snake Path Shrine
- Tomb of Swords
- Sealed Fortress

Game Rules

As the barrier disappears, the game starts.
Each team starts with 1,000 points, and your score decreases every second if the enemy team gains control of a control point. ( Each of the three control points decreases a different value per second.)

If you die, you will be revived at the starting area after 10 seconds.
Your job is to conquer and protect control points at all costs while trying to stay alive.

Each character starts with the same fixed stats without any consumable items. The outcome depends purely on your skills and strategies.

The team whose score drops to 0 loses.
If 10 minutes have passed, the one with a higher score wins.

Here are other elements that will impact the outcome of the game.

Treasure Goblin: Killing a treasure goblin regains a certain points of your team’s score. Treasure goblin is summoned about five minutes after the game begins.

Boss: A boss is summoned in a random spot. Killing a boss makes your enemy team’s score decrease drastically. A boss is summoned about 8 minutes after the game begins.

ENERGY SYSTEM

You can now gain Energy when you kill a monster in Solo or Trio Battle Royale Mode.

You can check how much Energy you have absorbed at the result window.
Up to 50 Energy can be absorbed in a single game.

PETS

We now have pets in Hunter’s Arena. You can bring a pet to your Solo or Trio Battle Royale game, who will pick up items for you.

There are three different tiers of pets, High, Mid, and Low. Your pet’s tier impacts how wide they search for items and how close they follow you.

Pets can be purchased with either SP or Energy.

We have a plan to add boss characters as pets in the future update, so stay tuned for that as well.

EFFECTS

New character effects are added which can be equipped for your character’s eye, arms, or legs.

SEASON 3 & AND CONQUEST TOURNAMENT

Hope you had a good time playing Season 2.
Season 3 is coming soon which will include Conquest Mode.

In the meantime, we will have a pre-season period.
As soon as we are ready for Season 3, we will give you a heads-up.

With the start of Season 3, a tournament for Conquest Mode will be held as well.
Use this pre-season period to master your skills and prepare for the tourney.

Season 2 arrives on Hunter’s Arena! Season 2 features the new Hunter’s Rangers skin lineup with many more updates. This season will also give out rewards based on your ranks.

RP SYSTEM

Along with Season 2, there are changes to the current RP system.
 
- You can receive RP based on placement and kills.
- The average placement within each round will be the baseline and each placement above the average placement will be counted as 5 points.
 
Ex) The average placement in a 20 player match is 10th place (20/2)
9th place will receive 5 points, 1st place will receive 45 points, 30th place will receive -50 points.
Average placement is rounded up. (If average placement is 10.5, it will be counted as 11)
 
- A kill will be counted as 3 points. (Max. 5 kills)
- Tag mode victory is 20 points and loss is -20 points.

Promotion Matches
You will enter a promotion match once reached 300 RP
(Tag Mode promotion match - Silver at 60 points, Gold at 80 points)
If you receive more than 1 point, you will be promoted to the next rank.
 
- If you reach 0 points, you will enter a demotion match.
- If you receive less than 0 points, you will be demoted to the lower rank.
 
- You will begin at 50 points after you are promoted.
- You will begin at 200 points after you are demoted.
- Tag mode will be at 25 points or 60 points.

SEASON 2

A new Season begins!

Exclusive rewards wait for those who finish off the season at high ranks!
Players who don't end up in high ranks will also receive various rewards within each rank.

Solos Legend: Mimi Ancient Weapon Skin (Non-purchasable)

Legend Top 5 in each mode will receive exclusive rewards which will be announced later.
*Exclusive color variation will be in effect for the Ranking Rewards.

- Dalgi, Dara, Sandy, Mir, and Mumyung Hunter's Rangers skins will be added.
- Hunter's Rangers weapon skins will be added.
- Event-only Ancient Weapon skins will be added.

BUG FIXES

- Remaining standing up when knocked down has been fixed.
- Not being able to use skills when entering Battle Royale has been fixed.
- Mumyung's skill icons not showing up after landing skill has been fixed.
- Sandy's voice audio coming out when Dalgi uses ground attack has been fixed.
- Tau's passive skill continuously stacking has been fixed.
- Being able to move past the walls on the map has been fixed.
- Sandy's skill 4 has been fixed to be directed at the locked on target.
- Tau getting stuck in some regions of the map has been fixed.
- Wu Kong not receiving fall damage has been fixed.

- Ray Tracing feature on PS5's Graphics setting has been added.

WEEKEND EVENT

The event will last from midnight this Friday until midnight on Sunday

NEW RANKING SYSTEM

An all new RP system is finally here.
- RP is based on two factors: Placement and Kill
- A player will receive 3 points per placement above the average player number in a given match.
 
Ex) In a 20 player match, the average player number is 10. (20/2)
9th will receive 3 points, 1st will receive 27 points, and 20th will receieve -30 points.
Average player number is rounded up (if 10.5, will be counted as 11)
 
- 3 points rewarded per kill (Max. 15 points)
 
- In Tag Match, 20 point per win and -20 point per loss.


Promotion Match

- In Solo and Trio, player will enter a promotion match once the player reaches 300 points.
- In Tag Match, player will enter a promotion match once the player reaches 100 points.

- Player will be promoted to next rank if scored at least 1 point in a promotion match.
- Player will enter a demotion match once the player reaches 0 points.
- Player will be demonted to lower rank if scored less than 0 points.

- In Solo and Trio, player will be placed at 50 points upon promotion and 200 points upon demotion.
- In Tag Match, player will be placed at 15 points upon promotion and 60 points upon demotion.

SYSTEM UPDATES

- Daily Quest tab in lobby screen is removed.

- In-game quests can be completed in Solos and Trios.

- The max player capacity has been reduced to 21 from 30.

BUG FIXES

Female voice not properly working when switched to female voice in settings has been fixed.

Cooldown icon not properly showing up in Tag matches has been fixed.

Skill icon not properly switching when a charcter dies in Tag matches has been fixed
Other UI/Localization has been fixed.

Mumyung's "Shadow Clone" not properly giving xp when the clone kills a demon has been fixed.

Mumyung's "Shadow Clone" clone not being able to stop guarding has been fixed.

Yoongeon's "Mark of Prey" being used twice at times has been fixed.

Tau
Damage dealt to grounded enemies has increased.
Damage dealt to airborne enemies has descreased,
"Devastating Dash" charging speed and changing direction speed has increased.
"Rock Breaker" motion delay after using the skill has decreased.
"Groundbreak" now Ground Stuns the enemy.
Ground Stun - Stunned on the ground for 3 seconds.
"Earthquake" now Ground Stuns the enemy when fully charged.
Ground Stun - Stunned on the ground for 3 seconds.
"Inner Peace" completion time has decreased.
"Inner Peace" now activates when using basic attack after running or using Quickstep.
Other skills can be used in the middle of "Inner Peace"

SYSTEM UPDATES

Profile's "Average Kills" now shows up to 2 decimal points.

You can now spectate your Trio teammates once you die by pressing L1, R1.

Ingame quests have been added to Battle Royale modes. Ingame quests will help you learn game mechanics better and also provide SP rewards on completition.

Daily quests will now become Ingame quests.

RP SYSTEM

We were aware of the issue where some users would receive abnormal amounts of RP after each match. Since we tracked many users who encountered this issue, we have decided to normalize the rank of applicable accounts. Therefore, rank of some users will fall drastically and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We would like to let you know that your rank has to be fixed in order to have the rankings return to normal.

As well, in compensation on our fault on the rank issue, we are going to revise the ranking rewards as follows.

Dalgi, Sandy Hunter's Rangers skin: Legend rank Top 500 -> All Legend rank players by the end of the season.
Legend rank Top 3 -> Legend rank Top 10

Aside from fixing the rank and MMR issues, we are also going to introduce a brand new RP system. In the new system, we will make sure that all of our players will be able to see how the ranking system works. This is currently in the works, so please be patient.

Lastly, we are not going to tolerate any users who decide to utilize ingame bugs to their advantage. We are going to action and decide to ban such players going forward.
