Hi, I'm thinking of buying this while it's on sale, but I've tried Port Royale 3 in the past and it had that idiotic system where the price goes up if you buy more before you actually buy whcih caused me to refund that game, like if you buy 1 item you pay X per item, if you buy 10 items at once you pay 2X per item which makes absolutely no sense. Does this game has the same system in place?...

The hex turned based system is so wrong for this type of game. It needs real time with complete freedom of movement, like every other pirate game.

I played Port Royal 3 for awhile until it became clear that it had been abandoned and the many bugs I was running into would never be addressed. So, has this game followed suit? I can see it has a mixed rating in reviews so something must be going on that people are not happy with. Is this worth 10 bucks (plus a few for the DLC), or is Port Royale 3 still better?
