It's time for the next update of Thief Simulator VR. This time we focused on the smaller issues you reported to us.

Full changelog below:

• Increased global performance - fixed distant objects rendering quality
  
• Increase global performance - various fixes (f.ex. trees render method, LOD, etc.)
  
• Fixed various terrain glitches (f.ex. distant disappearing objects)
  
• Story 22 - now breaking any 112 house window will pass the objective
  
• Opening windows with bare hands will lock them more naturally on a window frame now
  
• Opening a window too quickly after breaking it no longer crashes the game
  
• Fixed spontaneously exploding breakable objects like glasses, plates, etc.
  
• Fixed noted missing objects and null exceptions during gameplay (f.ex. some swimming pools are full of water again!)
  
• Fixed missing lights during night burglary missions
  
• 112 house parking lot redesign - f.ex. teleportation does not spawn us onto plants anymore

First, we'd like to thank you for supporting Gameboom VR! Our Cooking Simulator VR sells great, we've won the VR Game of the Year award on Steam, and now we can work on some new games for you. However, this does not mean that we are forgetting about our first game - Thief Simulator VR!

Thief Simulator VR receives another patch today, which introduces a number of improvements. The new version of the game is full of changes that improve both the performance of the game and its mechanics. Full changelog below:

Changes:
- The game is 1GB smaller
- Graphical optimization (materials, shaders, big textures)
- New functionality - you can use fast travel within one neighborhood, using the car
- It is easier to get in and start the car
- It is easier to hide in designated places (wardrobe, bed, dumpster)
- Limiting memory consumption for weaker RAM and VRAM (texture compression)
- Removal of information about too weak VRAM (textures compress automatically)
- NPC pathfinding calculations are lighter
- UI Change - Text display is less resource-intensive
- Better texture blending
- Additional info about remote grab in the tutorial
- Larger default remote grab distance
- In seated mode, the player's belt is higher
- More stable handling of quickslots on the belt
- By default, crouching is always lower than standing (seated mode)

Fixes:
- Some items were floating above the ground
- Duplicating items
- Some materials shined too much
- Removal of lag at the first breaking of the window
- Some objects were showing through the fog
- The mountains in the second neighborhood were disappearing
- The player's character does not jitter
- The tablet does not jitter while driving
- The paintings are not pixelated
- A typo in the Polish language version
- Some windows looked broken but were not
- Crowbar could not be raised
- 3 or 4 hands were rendered when the game couldn't determine if we were playing by Steam or Oculus

In 2021, we released our second title - Cooking Simulator VR. Our game was once again appreciated by many players and is still being developed to this day. We are preparing a lot of new content and patches. We encourage you to check out the game, especially as it is now 20% cheaper!

You've probably noticed by now that it's Halloween in Thief Simulator VR! Tenants decorated their houses, prepared sweets for children... It would be a pity if someone stole them, right?

However, if the candies are to be given away anyway, you can, well... take them? Ideally at night when no one will pay attention. Certainly, there will be people on the BlackBay who will buy these completely legally seized decorations from you.

Oh! I don't know if you've heard the latest rumors about the 306 abandoned house! Apparently, strange things are currently happening there. If you've visited it before - do it again. Just... be careful.

Today's Thief Simulator VR update adds Ambient Occlusion to the game! If you are unfamiliar with technical topics then know that with 1.3.0.7, static objects in the game have additional shading which makes the game look more realistic. However, these are not all changes! Full changelog below:

Changes:
Added Ambient Occlusion
Pawn shop area optimized
After selecting new graphics option you need to confirm your choice

Fixes:
Text about lost tools is shown even if there are no tools found by Vinny
Grass animates through walls in some places
Unable to use tablet in specific situation

Thanks for the positive reception of the previous update! As promised - Thief Simulator VR is getting another patch that takes care of a lot of the stuff you asked for. This time we improved the vegetation, performance and fixed some bugs.


Changes:

• Vegetation system is changed
  
• Grass density depends on chosen quality level
  
• Added anti-motion sickness tunneling options
  
• You can attach tools to quick slots even if you’re overloaded
  
• Pause when HMD is taken off
  
• It’s easier to grab items
  
• SteamVR update
  
• Better performance (objects’ materials update)

Fixes:

• FPS drop when teleporting with a stolen car
  
• Can’t toggle Dynamic weather setting
  
• Sometimes you can get stuck on map’s edge when using teleport with a car option
  
• Some interactable objects’ meshes don’t move
  
• Textures on Factory map
  
• Graphic car glitch in the hideout
  
• A few glitches

The next update for Thief Simulator VR is already in development. We've almost finished adding Ambient Occlusion, which means the game will look a lot better.

Hello there!

We are very happy that Thief Simulator VR is still such a popular game! Today we come to you with a new update, which is just the beginning of what we are currently working on.

Today's update is a bunch of changes that will make your experience more pleasent :)

Patch 1.3.0.5 is now available and introduces the following changes:

• Lost tools automatically return to quickslots/backpack
  
• Added equipment is full text
  
• Quickslots are more comfortable to use

Fixes:

• Investigate item tutorial bug
  
• Permanently crouch in some situations
  
• Not working running in some situations
  
• Fixed tutorial for the scenerio where you could get stuck and can't progress

OK, but what’s next? We are already working on patch 1.3.0.6! We can confirm that the next patch will introduce a new vegetation system and an anti-motion tunneling option. We are still working on improving the game's visuals and performance. We'll reveal more surprises in the future. ;)
