Why Early Access?

“During our Alpha and Beta tests, we (I and whoever will join my dev team) expect to receive a lot of feedback about the game mechanics, sound and graphics. After one year of development, Pixelum doesn’t need to be kept behind closed doors, but we still need your feedback on how the game feels on its every stage. We’re going to make a lot of changes and implement a lot of features, and we’re not quite sure how the audience will feel about every of them. And only by the way of interacting directly with the audience and listening carefully to an every game review and a proposal, we will do our best at developing Pixelum and passing it through the every stage of development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“From half of a year to two years. Such a wide spread is associated with the uncertainty of the reaction of Community and a number of features that we will try to implement. Soon, this estimation will get narrower.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We've got a lot of features to implement following our development roadmap, such as:
  • a lot of different NPCs
  • a lot of items
  • better multiplayer
  • graphics improvement
  • advanced crafting
  • vehicles and transport
  • advanced lighting
  • different biomes

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the features listed in the "About This" section are already implemented, so please refer to that section for details. Also the main video covers features that are already in-game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. It will get more expensive due to loads of new content and amounts of work that will be nested in the development process.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will carefully listen to every game review and proposal of the Community. So, an everyone can be easily involved in designing and development of Pixelum.”

Pixelum has been in development for almost 10 years. The author of this game is also known for creating immensely popular CS:GO maps that included zombies, cars and horses.

About This Game

Pixelum is an innovative sandbox survival game made up entirely from interactive pixels, open to the players for exploration and all sorts of different interactions, combining fully destructible environment and survival/building elements.

Features at the moment

Based on a handcrafted C++ engine, Pixelum offers you unlimited possibilities such as vast world canvas and advanced physics. Here, pixels are not just about the graphics - every pixel in a special multilayered canvas has its own function and can be interacted in one way or another.
Pushing forward the 2D survival sandbox genre, Pixelum brings you deeper immersion with game environment.
Survive as long as you can in Survival mode.
