Sharing your levels
If you have managed to create an awesome level, then this will be easy for you.

Adding an image

Workshop levels need a preview image. Inside the folder, you need to place a preview image before you can upload your level. This image need to be a .jpg file and its name must match the other files.

Please, only upload appropiate images or we will be forced to swing the banhammer on you :(

Publishing your level

This means uploading it to 64.0's Workshop so everyone can see it.

Go to the level you want to publish and hit the 'P' key once.

First, a 'please wait' will appear. Then if everything goes smoothly, a '(P)' text wil appear. This means that your level is published and public to everyone in the workshop.

Please note that depending on your internet, uploading your files could take some time, so please be patient.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please, once your level is published, you shouldn't edit the name of your level in the workshop portal. Doing so will make your level unplayable.

BUT, sometimes things can go wrong. For that cases, we've set up a small list of error codes. This list will increase when you guys report new erros.

  • Error code RR-0: Probably you are missing one of the files. Make sure that you have the level file (.json), the song (.mp3/.ogg) and the preview image (.jpg)
  • Error code RR-1: Steam says you are banned :(
  • Error code RR-2: The operation took too long. Maybe check your internet connection?
  • Error code RR-3: You are not logged on.
  • Error code RR-4: Something is wrong. But we don't know exactly what. (This is where we will be adding new error codes).

Removing your level from the Workshop

In Steam's documentation, it says that you can't remove your published levels in-game. BUT, you can hide them by setting your level visibility to private.

If one of your levels is published, you can hide it by pressing the 'P' key. If you want to making it public again, just press the 'P' key again.

Updating your level

If you have changed any of the components of your level (level, song or preview image file), you can submit these changes to the Workshop by pressing the 'U' key (U for Update, get it?)

Aaaand that was it. You have now your level online and available for everyone :)

Getting your level included in the mobile version
So, as you may know, we are developing a mobile version for 64.0 (android & iOS).

The best levels will be included in the mobile build. Hell, we could even contact you to help us in the level design of our others games because we kind of suck at level design.

Anyway, your levels can be included in the mobile version, but we're afraid these levels must comply one extremely important requirement:

The songs you are using must have a license that allows us to use it in a commercial project. For example, they must have a CC 3.0 license.[creativecommons.org]

Because we can't just get a Shakira song and expect to use it in our game without serious legal implications.

So, yeah, basically that's the only requirement.

Oh, and of course, your level must be awesome. But I'm sure it will.
