SUMMARY

Type of map: real-world (18 km x 18 km)
Mods required: no
Custom theme/LUT required: yes
External assets required: yes
Resources: fertile, forest
Connections: road, train, ship, airplane

DESCRIPTION

Ancona is one of the most important port cities on the Adriatic coast of Italy. It lies some kilometers north of the imposing Mount Conero, which features lush vegetation and beautiful beaches.

The map is based on the "New Caledonia" theme, which should be used with the "Definite Vision LUT". Roads and rails are placed in their realistic locations (this map only uses vanilla roads).

I strongly advice to unlock all 81 tiles (otherwise you will not be able to access the beaches), but it is not strictly required to play. You will also need one external asset (Forest Fillers).

TIPS AND TRICKS

- In the starting tile, you only have a four-lane road carrying the whole traffic from the highway. So, think about traffic development when planning your city!

- I placed only a few fertile areas because I don't like how they look in this theme. I advice using the "Extra Landscaping Tools" to add more of them where you need.

Cool! Glad it helped. Maybe by the time a Cities:Skylines 2 comes out, I will finally be able to finish that guide :D

@MrMiyagi: Thanks for your comment!
By the way, your map-making tutorial was a great resource and I partly followed your workflow for my two last maps.
