Smart Panel Tabs Toggle

Description
A modification that controls the visibility of Panel Tabs by the use of an overlay button. If the tabs are hidden by the button, it will show the Stat and Skill tabs only if there are unallocated skill and/or stat points. MenuButtons.layout was also modified to disable open and close sound.

Features
  • Hideable Panel Tabs (Menu Buttons)
  • Stats Tab and Skills Tab will appear if there are remaining points not yet invested, even if the Panel Tabs are hidden
  • Peekable Stats and SkillsTabs, shown as a quarter of the button at start but after moving the mouse pointer at the side of the screen, will make intended button to show in full
  • One click invest all points to the selected stat type, mouse-over on Stats Tab to bring up these selection

Credits
  • This mod was originally requested by Lone Wolf McQuade for his compilation, showing only the stats tab and skills tab came from him

This modification is a severed piece of my Torchlight II UI mod.

This mod is perfect. It really deserves five stars. Those side tabs did ruin the game for me. I kept opening the pet's inventory. I had been using another mod similar to this one, but there was no way to click on the side tabs.

This is super underrated. Deserves more attention than mods that simply remove the buttons entirely.

Update

- Fixed the creepy open/close inventory sound while Panel Tabs are hidden. No more sound!

- Added a compatibility with Auto-Hide HUD mod and Clear and Hideable Options mod

Added compatibility with Torchlight II Essentials mod by overwriting its own Smart Panel Tabs Toggle and make way for this mod. Make sure to put this mod on top of T2 Essentials

Yeah, you got it. UI Tweaks does have a mod that also controls the panel tabs. If you want, I'll just give you a merged mod of the mods you listed that were mine.

Turned off UI tweaks, I think that might be the problem.

Here's a little bit more info, maybe it'll help:

The flashing doesn't even happen from an area transition. I'm sitting in a town right now, clicked to hide tabs, started flashing. I moved this mod right at the top of the list. The only other UI stuff are pieces of your collection (Smart Panel Tabs Toggle, Target Bar Upgrade, Auto-spend with Respec, Revamp Notifications) and UI tweaks by zParticle. It's possible that might be conflicting since part of UI tweaks is hiding the tabs during combat.
