There is an easy way of making a completely blank Steam background and an items up for trade showcase that showcases no items/is blank.
There are glitched backgrounds that not actually appear and therefore act as transparent backgrounds.
Here are some examples of how it can be used.
Note: When the BG is set it will look black, therefore making it effective if you are changing your profile.

There is a Chrome add-on called Enhanced Steam[chrome.google.com].
It allows for you to change the colour or transparency of your profile as seen in the given images.
It allows for editing many other things that regard steam games etc., but this is not what we are here for, you can check that out too though if you would like.
To set a colour, you must navigate to your edit profile section and the option should be at the very bottom.

There is a film available on steam that offers trading cards that craft variations of the Virtus.pro Logo. These badges can be applied to your profile if you want.
We have a screenshot of all the variations.

The film is called Over the Dream. It can be purchased at a very low price and often it is on sale. You do not have to get the film, but you can make the badge anyway by purchasing the required cards.
This a great one for fans, and not one you see often!

There are quite a few Meme backgrounds and badges etc. but we have found a few that are relatively cheap and funny (old memes are good too dammit). There is not much to say here, except explore the links:

There is an incredibly simple way you can make emote art using the junk emotes you have. This works very effectively with the blank Items up for trade showcase trick shown earlier as it saves the need to use your Custom Info. Box. First you want to click THIS[steam.tools] link to bring you to a website where you can enter your steam name or ID and it will retrieve your emoticons. From there, you can import an image and let the tool use the emotes to recreate the piece of art as best as it can. You can also manually make an emote mosaic by clicking blank canvas and using the tools at the top of the canvas to make your own thing. Experiment, and make anything you want! But be mindful of the character limit in showcases, this is displayed at the bottom of the canvas. An example is shown of what you could do.

Note: The width of the canvas must be set to 33, because those are the amount of characters possible in one line of an items up for trade/info box.
Once you are finished click export and you will be given a long code for the mosaic which you must copy + paste perfectly into the chosen info box. If you miss a single part, it will not work as it should.
This is all very simple and easy, and can pay off for sure if you do it correctly. A finished example is shown.

There is a simple trick that allows you to have someone click on your hyperlink and have it lead them back to their steam profile.
You can have some real fun with this!

This is a command that creates a hyperlink and leads the clicker back to their profile.
After pasting it in your profile wherever, you must put text where the given example shows and save it.

There is an easy way to create a glitched profile pic that changes colour when offline. This a great trick that is not used very often. Click HERE to apply the avatar (it is very quick). It becomes blue when in online mode and grey when in offline mode.

There is an easy way to make your animated/static artwork look cleaner by shortening the height of the side showcase. This only applies if you have artwork of custom length.
An example is shown of what it should look like when it is clean.
To do this, all you must do is shorten the height of the side showcase by 70 pixels.
For example, if your sidebar height was to be a total of 700 pixels, subtract 70 pixels to make 630 so that the small box fits perfectly.

If you have custom length artwork, you should know how to upload this easily.
