Currently only Bretonnia factions that have access to Praying, which will allow them to remove bad traits from their lords. Prayers of the Old World adds Praying building effect to other factions temple building line.
I also increased the prayer chances for all temple buildings, including Bretonnia, to be more reliable.

VC is the only faction with no building line directly related to any religion or god.
Necromancy is the closest thing to Nagash, so I added praying to that building line.

  • Bretonnia:
    • Grail Shrine (10%) -> Grail Chapel (30%) -> Cathedral of the Lady (50%)
  • Chaos:
    • Blasphemous Icon (10%) -> Ruinous Altar (20%) -> Chaos Warshrine (40%)
  • Dwarfs:
    • Slayer Shrine (20%) -> Monument of Grimnir (40%)
    • Great Slayer Shrine of Karak Kadrin (75%)
  • Empire:
    • Shrine of Sigmar (10%) -> Temple of Sigmar (30%) -> Cathedral of Sigmar (50%)
    • Shrine of Ulric (20%) -> Temple of Ulric (40%) (Middenland Only)
    • Middenheim Great Temple of Ulric (75%)
    • Shrine of Taal (20%) -> Temple of Taal (40%) (Talabecland Only)
  • Greenskins:
    • Shamans's Hut (20%) -> Shaman's Hovel (40%)
  • Kislev:
    • Shrine of Ursen (20%) -> Temple of Ursen (40%)
  • Norsca:
    • Ruinous Altar (10%) -> Chaos Warshine (20%) -> Shamanic Pyre (30%) -> Vikti Temple (40%)
  • Southern Realms:
    • Shrine of Myrmidia (20%) -> Temple of Myrmidia (40%)
    • Archecclesiatium of Myrmidia (75%)
  • Vampire Counts:
    • Forbidden Library (20%) -> Necromancer's Tower (40%)
  • Beastmen:
    • Pile of Flesh (20%) -> Desecrated Altar (40%)
  • Wood Elves:
    • Temple of Ereth Kial (40%)
    • Temple of Kurnous (40%)
*Notes: Building multiple temples won't stack the prayer chances, it will only apply the highest chance.

COMPATIBILITY:
  • Compatible with on-going campaigns.
  • Semi-Compatible with mods that affect building effects.
    There is a maximum amount of mod that can access the same table.
    You can get an error if you have many mods that affect building effects.

Hi Geochime77, I´m doing brand new building overhaul mod and sadly it won´t be compatible with your mod, would it be possible to use some your praying buildings?I really like the concept and use them in my campaigns. Of course you will get credits and link to this original mod :)

I don't think the mod is working on my current on going campaign, had one lord stayed for 3 turns with the 50% chance and one other staying for the bunch of turns and didn't get the neg traits remove. Also tried with Ulric great temple for 4 turns and it still didnt work. Does it only work on certain neg traits or is there other potential mod conflicts other than the the building effects?

Unfortunately, removing the bad traits is actually done in the script "wh_dlc07_virtues_and_traits" so the building effects just seem to be "dummies" there to tell the player the chances.

It may be possible to get it to work for other factions by editing the script.

Great mod idea but can anyone confirm if this works OUTSIDE of bretonnia? SFO tried to do the exact same thing but apparently it does not work, you can add 100% chance to remove, it would show up in game, but the trait will never be gone. It seemed to be an unique mechanics of Bretonnia at the time.

Appreciate if someone can confirm :) If yes then awesome mod

I think horde factions should have their chances reduced as they can carry their buildings with them

finaly a tool that removes the traits I hate to obtain, question though does it works towards heroes who picks up bad traits?
