Festivals

"We Love the King" Days are no more. They have been replaced with Festivals. Whenever a Festival starts you may

choose the bonus it will grant to the city. The possible bonuses depend on the following types of Festivals:
- We Love the King Day (Increases food produced)
- Art Biennial (Increases Culture)
- Flea Market (Increases Gold)
- Academic Congress (Increases Science)
- Religious Obscervance (Increases Faith)
- Sports Tournament (Increases Military Production)

Festivals also increase their bonuses if you chose them more than once in the same city. Aside from increasing the

base modifier Festivals of higher levels can grant Tourism and in the last and 4th level increase the Great Person

points in the city as well. Because of this earlier Festivals are weaker.
- Level 1: Local Fair: 20% Bonus and +1 Happiness.
- Level 2: Celebration: 25% Bonus, +2 Tourism and +2 Happiness.
- Level 3: Tradition: 30% Bonus, +4 Tourism and 3 Happiness.
- Level 4: Holiday: 35% Bonus, +6 Tourism, +4 Happiness.

A Festival is granted automatically in the capital upon the discovery of Calendar.

Entertainers

In order to help in the leveling of Festivals a new Specialist called "Entertainer" has been added. Entertainers add +1Tourism, and also work towards the generation of Great Entertainers.

Most happiness-related buildings have also been updated with an Entertainer slot, as well as some wonders.

Great Entertainers

Great Entertainers are a new kind of Great Person. They can be expended to start a Festival and also to build the Fairgrounds improvement that grants +4 Tourism.

As for unique names, they come from a wide variety of historical characters. From famous actors to directors,

important comedians and jesters, they have all come to aid you in keeping your empire happy and festive!

Other Changes
- Colosseums have been changed into Arenas.
- The Colosseum Wonder has been added.
- Unhappiness per citizen has been increased. If you feel that the unhappiness is too high or too low, you can change it at the User Settings sql file.

I'm getting the same issue as the other users, whenever two festivals begin on the same turn, the second festival's menu doesn't have buttons, forcing me to restart the game. Also, technologies and wonders that are supposed to start a Festival/WLTKD don't start anything.

The mod is amazing, but continues to crash if multiple festivals begin on the same turn (or forces a restart). A suggestion for how to fix this would be A: putting an x button on it so you can close the menu, and B: making it into a clickable sidebar thing like choosing production. You may not be working on this anymore, but just some ideas!

i can't choose festival and can't press 'ok' button (the festival options is blank).
im using vox populi+eui, any solution? thank you before.

Still didn't get the Festival at Calendar (playing with JFDLC), is this something you could look at?

@HumbleYeoman : same problem with you. and i found what problem this. If you use only CP occur this problem.
You USE CP + JFD's Rise to Powe + JFD's Cultural Diversity then fix it. but Calendar and Colosseum event still not work.

i think it need AND EXISTS in sql

I have the community patch installed but I great entertainers do not show up in the great people lists and festivals do not start. Any idea what may be causing this?

Well, there seems to be this bug about Great Entertainer points going through the roof. I've received it before, and now in another game Askia's got the Great Entertainer flood too. Also might be related, but sometimes there's also the culture points through the roof bug as well.
