This mod replaces the starting 'Warrior' with a 'Scout' instead.


Features:
  • Everyone (including AI players) get their starting warrior replaced with a scout.


Notes:
    If you own Brave New World Expansion, i strongly recommend using all the three Scouts mod for the full experience:

Compatibility:
  • Compatible with Vanilla civilization 5
  • Compatible with Gods and Kings Expansion
  • Compatible with Brave New World Expansion

Troubleshooting:

  • If you have a problem with a mod, the first step is always to test the mod alone before reporting any bugs.
  • All mods from all my collections are compatible together.
  • If you have troubles downloading the mod in game, it's a common cache issue, follow these steps to fix it:
    1) Unsubscribe The mod, exit steam and civ 5 completly
    2) empty your mod folder : C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR USERNAME]\My documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS
    3) Delete the 'Civ5ModsDatabase.db' file located at: C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR USERNAME]\My documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache
    4) Restart steam, subscribe, restart civ 5.

Every other game or so, this mod seems to not take effect, been using it for years but only this year has it started to just go "nope, not gonna work this time" and start me with a warrior instead xD

It seems this mod is not compatible with Giant Earth YnAEMP. Games always start with warriors here :(

How can we altar this so that the AI's don't get the same advantage?

So on Immortal/Deity the AI starts with 2 warriors and 1 Scout. Does this mod change both warriors to Scouts? In the description it states that it changes AI"s starting warrior (singular) so was just curious

yeah, i know that. I was playing with mods all the time back in the days. But now i guess civ have a problem with them. Or i'm doing something wrong, don't know

Make sure you start your new game from the MOD menu and not from the singleplayer menu.

Doesn't work for me. Any ideas? It is turned on, and i can see the mod in the mods list in the gaming process in ESC menu, but i'm always starting with warrior
