I'm a huge fan of the Adv. Vehicle Effects. I'm using only your trains cause the sound is so cool. I was willing to model a train, but don't want it without the sounds. Could i create a texture for one of your models? You will publish it, the credits are yours. The matter is that ALL(Latin America Logistics) company, now fused and icorporated to RUMO Group, covers an area that corresponds to 75% of Latin America GDP. All trains here belong to them. Just looked at the definition and noticed your xml comments regarding the wheel flange sounds. Those are simply additional effects you can apply alongside any moving sound effects. Same is true for braking sounds.
Flange grinding isn't really complex to compute (mainly a line/plane intersection + centripetal force), so using it for all trailers should be ok. After all, those effects are only computed for the usually small number of trains in acustic range - so we propably could do really messy things per frame.
