Troubleshooting
Follow These steps if you believe this mod is causing you problems:
  1. Open Content Manager and go to the Mods Panel, disable all except "Network Extensions 2"
  2. In Content Manager, go to the Asset Panel and disable all except the assets listed in the "Required Assets List" under the Discussions tab on this workshop page.
  3. Quit to Desktop
  4. Verify game cache
  5. Launch the game
  6. Start a new game 100% vanilla - DLC allowed but no other mods other than specified.
  7. test thoroughly the mod to see if it presents the same problem (yes you may have to play and build a quick test city to do so)
  8. If the problem still persists, please upload the same vanilla save file you tested in making sure you have not used any other custom assets (so they don't disappear when I load it) and paste a link to the savegame in the discussion thread "Troubleshooting Savegames". Savefiles uploaded on third party servers will not be accepted.
If you do not complete these steps and submit a savegame we cannot help you. If you identify another mod that is incompatible then please verify either by thorough testing or with the other mod author and let us know!

I liked the mod, put on my modlist in my current run with a 5k population. Traffic kept around 88-87 during rush hours but i noticed an increase in the usage of cars (i still do not have public transport but i like to make my cities walkable). I don't understand why people would suddenly be more prone to using cars just because i've allowed this mod, maybe it has something to do with the way the pops are simulated.

If you remove the mod then roads will go missing. This can be done with the loading screen mod. remove NetworkExtensions then set options on Loadingscreen mod to open save if missing things. the save should open but roads will be missing and need replacing before you un-pause. There could be other ways but I am not aware of them. Perhaps a road replacment mod might work.

@Zao, I have always used this mod and enjoy their lit tunnels, and do so to this day. Your issue is from another mod conflicting with this.

so this mod made it impossible to make tunnels, but when I removed all the roads associated with it and unsubscribed, it restored the ability to make them; unfortunately, that makes it a deal breaker for me

I use to use the original too.
