Mark "Mute" Chendar was one of the original operators and the first operator I bought. I think that this operator is one of the essential operators to have when first starting off. He is on the defending side and uses Jammers to block use of electronic devices that use radio frequencies by filling the frequencies. He is british (yay!) but doesnt talk that much (aww).

Mute has not got many weapons to choose from since he only has 1 pistol, shotgun and SMG


This is a shortened version of the MP5 it uses 9mm rounds and it is used by most mute players.
It has 30 bullets in a magazine and 150 bullets in reserve. It can shoot 800 rounds a minute or 13-14 bullets a second and does 29 damage or 24 if the weapon is suppressed. all round good gun

When I started Rainbow Six Siege the dot in the red dot sight and the triangle in the reflex sight was huge so I didnt use them and like everyone else i was using the holographic sight. I have played with the red dot sight and reflex sight and i think the red dot sight covers too much of the screen and the reflex sight's triangle is a bit hard to aim with, but thats just me so feel free to use the other sights.

What the compensator does is that it gets rid of some recoil when you are shooting continuously (for a long time) and thats what i usually do. What the Flash hider does is that it removes recoil when shooting short bursts and the new muzzle brake is in-between those two.

I don't recommend you to using the laser because even while looking down your sights enemies can see your laser and can spot you easily so and in Rainbow Six Siege I haven't done much firing from the hip so it wont have much of a benefit.





I think this weapon is one of the most useless weapons in the game since it is a pump shotgun it can't shoot fast at all so if you miss your first shot you are most certainly going to die, but this weapon does 45 damage per pellet so if we do some math (45 x 12) it does 540 damage in total so if you get that first shot off with all the pellets its going to be a guranteed kill but if you want to get shotgun kills i would say stick to its counterparts (other shotguns) since those are automatic and give you a second chance.

the one and only sidearm for the SAS this weapon deals 53 damage and 45 when suppressed but to be honest you won't be using this weapon to kill people mostly for shooting drones and finishing off downed or very injured players. It has a magazine of 15 and can carry 45 bullets in reserve.

After an update the amount of operators with nitro cells were dropped and many were given impact grenades so having this mute has a great advantage to shields because if you can throw them over their shield or even infront of their shield it will kill them without effort and might even kill someone who is close to the shield wielder.









This is a useful gadget that blocks all bullets and can be used to get up on to some tricky spots if you know how to get up there. there are a few guides around showing how you can get up to some pretty cool ambush spots, here is a link to the guide I looked at a while back:

As you can see on this amazing piece of artwork made by me these are where you can shoot the enemy however some places recieve less damage than others.

If we apply these precentages to mute's weapons we get:

Mute's jammer is one of the most useful items in the game it basically stops remotely triggered gadgets (Breach charges, Thermite charges, Drones, Shock Drones, Fuze charges and Blitz's Flash) if the gadget is in the red circle you get when you are putting a jammer down this gadget will stop working and the enemy will get "insert gadget name here" is jammed and they wont be able to use it until they have either broken your jammer or moved out of the designated circle of jamming the jammer causes. Since one of the updates mutes jammer got a huge boost to its range so it is much easier to jam places like walls and hatches. If you are playing casual you can put jammers on stairs, door ways and vents that drones can use to find whatever you are guarding. Once I was playing casual and I did this and the enemy team couldn't find it And it took them 1 minute to find it this is quite a long time considering we only have like 2-3 minutes after preparing. But in ranked doing this might not be a good idea since most players who play ranked know most of the maps quite well and can find where you are with where you placed your jammers so sometimes it might become a waste of time instead of a good idea. After prep phase is over you must pick up your jammers (maybe a bit before if you have jammed all the drones or shot most of them) and place them near windows and reinforced walls doing this on a not reinforced wall isn't preferable because it will allow the attackers to shoot the lower ends of the wall and most likely get your jammer and after that they can breach through. This is also not recommended on windows with normal barricades because the enemies again can shoot through the wood and get your jammer however if you don't have Castle (the guy with the armor panels) and no more reinforced walls to put jammers on you can put them on windows near the objective so a fuze cannot cluster bomb you or jam a drone that has been thrown downwards into the window. Before the enlargement of Mute's jammers some skilled drone users could jump over jammers in door ways or even on stairs you cannot jump over jammers in doorways but there is a very slight chance that you might jump over the one on the stairs. Jamming also gives you 10 points per gadget jammed. If Mute's Jammers are placed on a raised object (tables, boxes etc.) it can jam whatever it is above it usually however if the enemy thermite or breacher knows the game he will put his gadget on a corner and it will usually breach the hatch.

Near unbreakable Armor panel
If your team has a Jager and a Castle you can jam the armor panel on the window and jager can put his anti grenade device your panel will only be breakable if the enemy team has a thatcher, sledge, Glaz or an operator with a grenade, otherwise the enemy team is going to have to start punching it down which gives you enough time to nitro the panel or even flank it.




Jammer Nopes
If you have a jammer in reserve and the enemy just EMP'd your precious jammers on that reinforced wall quickly go over and place your reserve jammer back down or steal one of the reinforced walls or windows that isn't getting breached that way the enemy will waste all their emps on your jammers and won't be able to breach through that reinforced wall.


Hatch jamming
This is a thing that is a bit tricky to do and cant be done on all hatches but will annoy the enemies because since one of the updates thatchers grenade's range was decreased so he might not be able to get rid of your jammer. On this section I will be listing ways to combat mute and his tactics.

Thatcherless Jammer Breaking

Thatcher is a very useful operator he can get rid of all electronics in 7.5m radius with his grenades but thats for another guide now sometimes you might not have someone who has thatcher or doesn't want to play thatcher as long as you have a operator with a grenade or twitch you can get rid of jammers too. To get rid of jammers with a grenade you must cook the grenade (hold it in your hand for 3 seconds, just count 21,22,23) then throw it into the hole or vent that has access to the jammers. Before one of the patches it was decided that thermite should be more of a support operator so they removed his breach charges and grenades and made them smoke grenades or flashbangs so if you were in consulate, house or that snowy house the garage can easily be ridden of jammers by throwing a grenade through the vent.

Avoiding Hatch Jamming

If you ever encounter some one who can jam hatches then try putting your breaching/thermite charge on the corners of the hatch it works sometimes and can avoid having to lose a twitch drone or thatcher EMP grenade.

Countering The Un-breakable Armor Panel

now if you dont have a glaz, sledge or operator without a grenade one of the ways to get rid of the armor panel is to do it with a friendly what you do is you both hit the barricade slide down quickly and repeat until you have done it 8 times then it should break it might break earlier if some one with a nitro tried killing you by throwing a nitro on the panel.

Getting Over Jammed Stairs

Some clever mutes put 2 jammers on stairs and this makes it impossible to jump over but if you are good enough you can jump on to the railing of the stairs and get up that way. don't forget to jump on the last part or you might get jammed.

• Put your jammer a bit inwards to where you are jamming from that way you can pick it up without breaking the barricade
  
• If you put 2 jammers on stairs you can stop any kind of drones jumping over them
  
• when you put a jammer under a castle door armor panel you might be able to get a headshot when the enemy is prone and trying to shoot the jammer
  
• try not to leave jamming windows to the last second sometimes attackers shoot windows and you might just get headshot if you are really unlucky
  
• putting jammers near entries to the objective room might stop a blitz trying to flash you so if you have any more extra jammers that is an option
  
• IQ's detector doesnt get affected by jammers so don't rage when a IQ shoots your jammer through a wall
