Prydwen (No Mods, Survival Ready)

Description

It would be a big help if you liked and favorited the Prydwen so more people could see it!

A new, updated and most importantly mod free version of my Fallout 4 Prydwen is finally here! I did my best to get the airship as close to the in game prydwen as possible.

***** Updated, no longer requires you t disable thruster damage! Completely ready to go out of the box! *****

Naosyth's Flight Assist script ( https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=557293234 ) is fully integrated, keeping the Prydwen upright and afloat regardless of any ships being docked.

MMaster's configurable LCDs script ( http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403921671 ) is integrated, showing critical flight information in the pilot room including fuel and flight angle. Cargo information is present in the engineering room.

To fly the airship is much like any other ship, but remember that it has alot of mass and acts very much like an airship will. The Prydwen takes a while to slow down, but if you need to slow down in an emergency, make sure the flight assist is set to "Hover" by pressing "2" and then press "5" to activate the auto hover. This will make the airship point its nose up about 30 degrees and use it's ballasts to help slow down. Activate auto hover whenever you are leaving the pilot seat to ensure that the prydwen does not drift under any circumstances.

The interior has all you need to be ready for survival. There are 16 refineries, 14 assemblers, and 8 arc furnaces powered by a nuclear reactor (with 3500 uranium ingots to help you stay afloat while you get started) and an array of 68 batteries. Hydrogen tanks with oxygen generators are ready to refil your jetpack and fuel up any ships you may have. 4 cryo chambers are present to let you refil all your suit resources quickly and easily.

Regarding the docking arms: Each arm has two modes controlled by timers. "Docking toggle" will extend the arm fully, hanging below the catwalk so you can fly under and dock to the arm. Hitting the docking toggle again will raise the docked ship u to catwalk level, and hitting it again will lower it below again. "Retracted mode" will, as the name says retract the arm up and out of the way. The docking arms consist of two pistons per arm. The top piston can be adjusted to match any ship height you plan on docking by simply adjusting the minimum piston height so the ship is even with the catwalk when docked.

I included a simple battery powered "helper" mining ship, docked on one of the arms. It's all ready to head down to the surface and bore a hole into the ground in search of those precious resources. It is set up to work with the docking arms in that you will be able to walk onto and off of the ship while docked to the Prydwen. When docking the helper to the prydwen, press "5" to lock the connector to the docking arm. After locked onto the arm, press "1" to turn off the helper's thrusters, then press "2" to set the helper's batteries to recharge so you'll be all fueled up for your next mission. Then, enter the control panel and look for the timer called "____ Docking Toggle" where "_____" is which arm you are docked to, such as "Rear Right Docking Toggle" and hit "Trigger Now" to bring you up to catwalk level. When you are ready to undock, simply reactivate the docking toggle timer to lower the arm, reactivate the batteries and thruster and then unlock the connector and fly off!

To mine using the helper ship, simply land somewhere, lock the landing gear "P", start the drill "3" and start the pistons "4". You have an underbelly camera "7" and and light "L" to help with landing. You also have a gatling turret "8" to help fend off any ground based threats. The last pilot used up all the ammo, so you'll need to make more.

There are definitely gyroscopes, check the menu. It may be a slight change to the physics happened since I made this and so the gyroscopes arent enough now. I originally placed just enough gyros so the thing turns slowly like a real zeppelin. Check the auto hover function to make sure thats not on (Right screen in the cockpit)

there are no gyroscopes / you cant turn
turning is very needed at least slow to make it more realistic

Don't you just hate it when the ground eats your expensive airships?

Rotiart I placed a crap ton of turrets on it (not in the blueprint, added it on my own in game one as a goof) and attacked the pirate base. I got lit up pretty badly and the whole lower levels were destoryed. They even managed to punch some holes into the main hull and destroy some of the inner machinery. The prydwen then begin leaning to the right and flying off before somehow leaning back to the left and coming in hot, crashing into a crater near the base as the vessel sunk into the ground like quick sand. Good times!

Man, the Prydwen is incredibly hard to destroy or otherwise do good damage to, I pumped two Warhead missiles into it, and a whole shit-ton of rockets, and it's still standing
