This artwork has been a long time coming. Not only was this the sole match that CLV won in S19, but the play itself was as theatrical as it was memorable. We had about ten minutes left in the second half on Vanguard, 0-1 vs "Middle of Recess", the opponent team. We were pushing onto last and had a full teamfight; ubers were traded, bullets flew, and classes dropped. Although almost everyone was dead on both sides, a wounded BLU engineer and scout still controlled the point--and their teammates were mere seconds away from respawns! However, Kubrick was still alive and in the area. In true Kubrick fashion, he threw his sniper rifle to the ground, charged into battle with his pan, and one-shot the last two defenders, securing the round. This propelled us into overtime, where we won the match 2-1.

In case I haven't made it obvious yet: This POTW deserved nothing short of the highest quality treatment.

Of course, this committment to excellence had an unintended side effect. I completed the rough draft, but then delayed the production of the poster by literal months. I finally came to terms with the fact that I was getting nowhere, and decided to hire a specialist to do the job better than I ever could. The highly talented Daesdemona picked up where I left off, completing the intricate posing and lighting. Obviously I owe her a huge thanks. I would also like to thank The Grandmaster for the incredible work he did with the posters this season, as well as for the help he offered with this piece. Finally, I owe the entire CLV team my gratitude as well; without you guys, none of this would have been possible. Thanks for a fun and memorable season!
