Getting Started

I recommend you do a play-through of this game before getting the achievements.
Here are all the 12 achievements:

Breach

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Holding right click, swim towards the surface of the water and press the left click before you think you are about to breach the water.

Press left click right about where the avatar is below

Ballet

Press 'shift' to ride a creature. Then, either press the scroll wheel button or 'e' while riding the creature to get the achievement. *Edit* "Left Trigger" to ride the creature and "B" to do a flip (XBox Layout)

Jetstream

There are two jetstreams in the game. To complete this achievement, all you have to do is swim into or nearby the school of fish (which are either blue or red) 15 times. There is noise and sound every time you do this so you will know when you have burst the school of fish

Kraken

To complete this achievement you will have to ride the giant squid which either can be found in chapter 4 or 7. You have to ride the squid for a little bit before you can get the achievement.

Connection

When you save your shark friend, press 'shift' to ride him for this achievement.

Leviathan

Near the end of the game, there are blue whales which you can ride. Lead them up to the surface and they will breach the surface automatically.

Artic Explorer

This achievement is in chapter 7. After riding the blue whales, try to spot the triangular machine. Once you spot it, go left from there and you will eventually come across an ice island. Climb on it and you get the achievement. *Edit* Make sure you interact with the polar bear on the island to get this achievement.

Food Chain

For this achievement, sit on one of the meditation statues and spectate one of the predators. The predator will eventually eat a fish and once it does you will get the achievement.

Ecosystem

This is one of the three achievements that will take a little more effort to get.
Basically there are these pools in specific areas you can interact with to free the
sea creatures. Release all of the creatures and you will get this achievement.

Zen Master

This is the second of the three achievements that will take a bit more effort to get. There are meditation statues scattered across Abzu and you need to interact (and press 'enter') to use it. Once you meditate on all the statues you will get the achievement. Here is what the meditation statues look like:

Collector

This is third of the three achievements that will take a bit more effort to accomplish than the others.
To get this achievement, you will need to find and interact with all the shells (19 shells in total) scattered across Abzu. There are a lot of shells so this achievement might require another playthrough. Here is the best picture i could find of one (since i already collected them all):

Reflection

You get this achievement when you complete the game.

Benefits

Here are the benefits of having all the achievements:

● The almighty "White Robe" (Basically a white version of your avatar skin. There is a shell design on your back and you get unlimited boost if you hold left click.) *Edit* You get this for completing the Collector Achievement

● Access to all Meditation Statues in Menu

Oh, you have to keep holding SHIFT and then use WASD and E; a sweet guide for people to explore the game areas even if the accomps are not the sauce

how do you "steer" a creature when riding it?

-I climbed the shark statue and watched the predators hunt and move.
-I didn't know how to do it in camera mode.
-I spent a lot of time sitting still.

-A closer look at the game guide gives a lot of hints in the way it feeds in the direction it follows predators.

Good game information.
1. Find the shark trophy, 2. Find the secret artifact, 3. Find the underwater pool
All done.
I also watched YouTube and saw the Steam game guide pictures, and it was really helpful.
Well made game guide.
I think other players will like it too.

-Impression after achievement-
Finding secret artifacts in canyons where fish pass quickly is confusing.
When I looked up, it went by so quickly, but when I looked again, I missed it and couldn't catch it.
I felt I had to be agile.

Is the arctic explorer achievement right before you destroy the Harvester? (The big triangle thing)
Because whenever I try to go to the left there, it turns me around when I've gotten only a few hundred feet from the entrance of the Harvester.
