Better Chat Bubbles

Omschrijving
This is a simple mod that changes the text duration and color of chat bubbles.

The default timer for chat bubbles was 4.5 seconds. I never had enough time to read everything so I increased this by a factor of two! This might be a bit long for most people but I have come across times where this duration was helpful. I added two more seconds to S.A.I.L. and mission chat bubbles, which pop up in the bottom left. Then I changed the chat bubble backdrop color from dark slate to black. The result is a much crisper feel that will allow me to read everything leisurely. I should also note this mod effects scanning inspection chat bubbles and player chat bubbles too. When you go to a village and everyone starts talking all at once your screen will be filled with bubbles, but that's kinda the point.

Update: Iincreases the duration of player chat messages in the chat window as well as the maxium number of archived messages.

Default fade time was 5 seconds and I changed it to 30 so when someone says something in global chat you have more time to notice someone said something. I also basically removed the stored message limit. It was 64 meaning only the last 64 chat log messages were saved in the log. I changed this to like a million or something? It will be good for servers so people can scroll through chat history if they afk for a while.

This is an absolute must for me and it works well with frackin universe.

Sliders in the menu would require some scripting but I would think that can be modded. Hope you figure this out okay!

ok many thanks i will do that. it was very kind off you to help me.

In the future i many look at how to change text colour and text back ground colour to make new mode so dyslexics that have colour issues as well can see easier , using some sort of slider ect in the menu.

extract the mod and change the value, its not hard to do. Give it a shot! There's a guide to explain how to unpack the mod from a workshop. If I were to do this I would have to do that as I don't have the original fines anymore. But seriously, its not to hard. Just 1 value needs changing, repack and shove it back where it was! You have my word that I'll not update this ever again and ruin your changes.

you have said Extended time of chat box and bubble. please as i am dyslexic and am finding it hard to read the chat box even 9 seconds some time is not enough, i would like to make it 12 second but have never write a mode for a game before is it hard to right one ?

launch the exe directly so it runs oustdie of steam and mods, if you feel up to it. Wont load any steam assets so you can see how it originally looks. Fairly certain I changed that color too. I know I made the number of chat messages it saves a stupidly large number. Prob changed that color too if it was originally a gray.
