Floran Ship for Human

Beskrivelse
Replaces Human ship with Floran ship. For existing characters, ship will transform into the Floran one the next time you upgrade it. Remove every decoration, crafting table, block, and wall before upgrading for the first time.

Multiplayer friendly, just don't upgrade your ship while connected to a server that isn't running the mod. Bad things will happen. Not compatible with mods that add new ship tiers.

If you do not upgrade the ship, it will remain a Floran ship. If you upgrade your ship after uninstalling the mod, it will revert to a human ship.

That's weird. That shouldn't affect it at all but I'm glad it's working for you now.

Did you launch the game directly from the installation folder instead of through Steam? It won't load any mods installed from the Steam Workshop if you do that. The mod makes the game treat humans as Florans when upgrading ships so making a human and making a Floran would be the same as far as ship generation goes. It could also be a mod conflict. Are you using anything else that changes humans?

Another possibility is that Chucklefish may have changed how ship upgrades work since I made the mod. It's been almost 2.5 years. I might need to do some testing later.

Never mind! I figured it out! The issue was, that I had never created a Floran character, so I guess those assets were never loaded in-game? Idk, I'm not a modder, I just tried what seemed logical until something worked.

FOR ANYONE WITH THE SAME ISSUE, HERE'S HOW TO FIX IT (at least for me): As soon as I made a Floran, the next test human I created had the Floran ship as a starter. However, you NEED to have the characters match difficulty level! Not sure why. Separate database, I guess?

In case you're confused, I'll use my case an example. For me, I play Casual, and I had created a Casual Floran, then made a throwaway test human, but forgot to set their difficulty to Casual (it was set to the default Survival). So the ship was still the Standard human ship. I then logged off, scrapped the human character, then made a new one, this time setting it to Casual. And presto! This one, started with a Floran ship.

Hope this helps someone! Took me a good hour to figure this out.

Hey! So I installed this mod, cleared everything from my T2 ship, upgraded to T3, and it was still a human ship! Any idea why that might be happening? The human ship is so boring...Thanks! And thank you for making the mod.

Your ship will change back to the human ship. Everything you placed in your ship will still be in the same place, which could be inside a wall or floating in space. Upgrading your ship again while playing offline will fix it, so as long as you don't get the last upgrade while playing online, it is not permanent.

You said bad things will happen if you upgrade while on a friends server that doesn't have the mod correct? I was wondering what happens and is it permanent damage to your save?

This mod doesn't alter the files for that. That has to be caused by a different mod or a bug with the game.
