Port of Unreal Tournament map as-hispeed to the Source engine.

Due to bugs and limitations of the Source engine, this map does have a number of problems.

1) You may notice that some sounds are too soft and others are missing, this is due to a bug with too many sounds in the client PVS and cannot be fixed. I've tried to make the map sound as nice as possible.

2) Some world geometry may have cracks/seams between faces, this is a bug with the VMF format corrupting brushes and also cannot be fixed. Lavagiant and Coret suffer from similar issues.

3) There is no "assault" game mode that I know of so all triggers, turrets and buttons related to this type of game mode have not been added. If you wish to create such a game mode, let me know and I'll implement these.

Actually its full geometry now. And I guess textures could be imported too

I seem to have managed to port Ocean Floor (At least partially) as MDL to Source Engine. Maybe more UT maps could be done

Search the workshop for "Unreal Tournament SWEPS" by "upset". He's the one that ported and made the UT99 weapons.

I don't remember if I placed the pickups in the map or not so you may have to manually add them.

Nice map! What do I have to subscribe to in order to have ammo and weapons spawn on the map?

You can port maps by measuring level geometry in the Unreal Editor and re-creating it in Hammer, but it's not as accurate and takes a lot longer. My port of Deck16 was done this way and I had to redo parts of it several times due to measuring errors.

Maps with complex geometry like terrain wouldn't really be possible to accurately create.

it will probably take 1000x longer but its probably possible to re-create certian maps form scratch with the textures?
i tried looking up a way to make the masp into a 1.1 scale mesh but i failed 100%
