Village Square Apartments (RICO)

@JustDucky I had the same problem. The issue for me was; WG Realistic Pop's mod forces "Low Density Residential" buildings to only have one or two households. This building is a Low Density Res. You can fix this by changing Village Square to "High Density Residential" in the RICO settings panel.

How do you get to RICO settings?

@justducky you can use the rico settings to change it, but it should already house 10 - 15 families. I can't remember

Is there any way to make the building house more than one family?

@zake I use a general theme for the entire city in which i have de-selected certain buildings. then i can still apply more specific theme for certain districts

I use both mods, but maybe I'm in the minority in that I rather enjoy allowing things to develop organically in most of my city, and usually reserve the building themes for little pockets of unique culture.

Though seeing as in many neighborhoods I value having a great variety of houses I wonder if I can convince BloodyPenguin to include a theme setting for "build everything except x"

@zake i would imagine that most of the people that use RICO and desire that level of control over the types of buildings that grow, are also using the building themes mod where you pick which growable buildings grow and where

@BloodyPenguin @KingLeno forgive me if I misunderstand, but I think Leno did the right thing here. Most people want to decide where to put each instance of this building. Making it a ploppable unique building allows that, whereas a 4x4 residential growable will spawn at random, disrupting the neighborhood aesthetic. Same is true of any of these small apartment buildings.

I actually dislike the res-growable versions of these, and I'll indeed be looking for a way to make a ploppable version and disable the growable.

@KingLeno You can combine both - make a growable and add a Ploppable RICO config to it. If user uses Ploppable RICO that building becomes a ploppable. If not, it remains growable. A win-win situation :)
