Description
NOTE: Check out the world file at -> http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=702044103 Rover and Shuttle come attached!

Since Space Mining Universal's incursioning in comercial space ship design, the company has been settling new horizons for the industry. SMU has established a new exploration division with the sole purpose of finding planets plausible for huge mining operations, for our clients.

With the mission to help our clients broaden their horizons, we at SMU have envisioned an exploration vessel specially designed for our customers, that will allow their company total independence in the search for new grounds.

The IVE1 Starlight Explorer has been designed from the bottom up to withstand the harshest environments known in space, while maintaining a full ground homebase type functionality. All aspects of the vessel have been carefully designed to provide the most reliable performance while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The Starlight Explorer has been outfitted with state of the art equipment, such as an exploration rover and shuttle, that will allow its crew to take on different mission critical tasks simultaneously.

KNOWN ISSUES
a) Not sure if this happens all the time, but when Jumping with the rover and shuttle attached, sometimes the main vessel enters in a wobbling state. To avoid this remember to turn of dampeners, engines, gyroscopes and power of the attached vehicles.

NOTE
In order to use some of the entrances of the ship, such as the main ramp or the airlock room, there is always a control panel next to these entrances. You will notice that it has buttons labeled like this:

"[ENG1] Timer 1B (PRE)"

I have added (PRE) or (DEP) for timers that are related to the "pressurization (PRE)" and "depressurization (DEP) of rooms. You should only press these buttons once since they call for a chain of actions that need some wait. The main ramp takes about 14 seconds to open since it first depressurizes the Life Support and Engineering Deck.

I'm working on an SMU website, which will have all lore and information available.
I will be posting the link once its done.

Yeah that was my favorite part about your cargo ship. The Owner's Manual adds a level of immersion you don't see in many other ships. Actually your ships kind of remind me of Star Citizen.

You're welcome, I'm glad you like it. There are probably some things that need to be updated, but most of the things should work right out of the box.

I hope to have some additional time to finish up the Owner's Manual, so I can release it with the next update.

Ok, good to know. Thank you for the amazing ship!

Hi, don't have a definitive release date, but I'm guessing pretty soon.
I actually have some time on my hands now, so I will be updating my builds. This vessel will get the improvements mentioned above plus a few small guns.
The military version will be released after this.

If we happen to get the lighting model update for the Stable Branch, next patch tomorrow, I will probably update the planets first, and then the vessels.

I'll be posting more info on the progress of things to come.

Cheers!

Any idea as to when we will get the military version?
