This mod halves in resolution the ship textures, thus practically turning the setting for textures from "High" to "Medium" effectively freeing up more memory for the rest of the game's processes. If you are looking to gain more FPS during large battles, or perhaps you are playing on a lower end PC/laptop and want a more fluid experience then give this one a try. Jeez Paradox... put on texture quality settings in the options already!

It only changes the textures, bump maps (2d to 3d texture effect shader) and specular maps (shiny/metal shader) resolution of ships and stations (fighters excluded because they are already tiny as hell.

COMPATIBILITY:
Works with ANY VERSION OF STELLARIS (even if the launcher sais that it is outdated!)
Works with everything; except mods that reskin the original ship types.
