also to clarify I was a bit wrong since On steam it says the game was developed by Ensemble Studios. In the wikipedia it mentions it was "developed by LucasArts by licensing the Genie game engine from Ensemble Studios."
I also read that the studio no longer exists. But at this point, I ask, who is taking the money for this game? Whoever it is, they should be able to do so.
It is immoral to sell a game without offering support.
It is widely believed that after 10 years of publication, a game should be considered abandoned software, even if copyright laws say otherwise.
It is my personal opinion that if the studio goes out of business, for the preservation of the art created, it should make its works open source so that they can continue to live on and be improved.
Even in a skirmish game they’ll just completely stop doing anything after a while. It is a pretty glaring issue and makes them very uninteresting.
I was wondering if it would be possible for you to fix whatever broke them. It might be beyond what you can fix but I thought I’d ask.
