For anyone that's having problems with the cheat code, make sure you're pressing the correct sequence of inputs, and pressing only one button at a time. I have a faulty Xbox 360 gamepad and by using the Game Controllers panel (start > Run > joy.cpl) I could make sure that I was doing it correctly (my A button sometimes don't register and my d-pad kept throwing in diagonals).
Do note that, at least on Win7, you gotta have the Game Controller window on top/active, and that's ok as the game receives all gamepad inputs even if it's inactive.
