For Grineer consoles, you must press the space bar when hovering over visual slots as the selector rotates quickly around, a successful timed click will insert the slot into the center. All slots must be inserted in order to hack the console. Inserted slots can be released by accident, in which it has to be inserted again. Additionally, as more slots are pinned, the selector will increase its rotational speed.

The number of the slots in the console are relative to the mission difficulty, additionally high level consoles will switch its rotational direction upon pinning or unpinning. There is no time limit in deciphering Grineer consoles, but unpinning at least 3 slots in the console on the maximum level will automatically exit the console and is marked as a fail.

Use a Cipher.

Never go anywhere without at least 30 ciphers. Buy them, craft them, equip them, then press Y at the hack screen.

It's too easy.

However, Ciphers do not work in Sorties and Nightmare Raids, which is probably why you're here.

The main idea to hack faster is with double taps. Double tap the space bar 3 times, then get the last two.

Breakdown:
- Double tap once. 2 / 8 down.
- The slider gains speed. Let the slider move over 2 free spaces, 3 spaces total.
- Double tap again. 4 / 8 down.
- Slider gains more speed. Let it move some more.
- Double tap even faster this time. 6 / 8 down.
- The slider will be moving much faster now. Take a breather and get the last two. 8 / 8.

Ideally, you want to do it in just 4 double taps. Personally though, I cannever get the last two, especially after an hour of running and gunning.


Basically, if it takes you more than 7 seconds to hack, you're either doing something wrong or you need a breather.

So if you know how to hack, but you still keep having a hard time:
- Remember, you can immediately start as soon as the UI shows up. You don't have to wait for it to spin around.
- Increase your framerate to at least 60. (You might have to lower the quality.)
- Turn V-Sync off.
- Rebind space to your mouse wheel so you can easily double tap.
- Equip the mod, Intruder, to slow it down until you get a hang for it. It's actually an exilus mod now, so it won't completely waste a spot. Intruder link.[warframe.wikia.com]
- Drink coffee with lots of sugar.

Many have commented that the colors, yellow on yellow background, are what mess them up the most. I honestly don't know what to suggest to overcome this.

By the way, this guide is only to help with high-level Grineer consoles, not Corpus, and not consoles with only 3 pins. I like to believe that all Tenno can hack a 3-pin console without reading a guide.
