2016 Exo Suit Skin Mod

SPECIAL NOTE: There will be no jets for the character. (it's a planetary suit)

In the depths of the unknown, there is just one spacesuit that can survive.

Ladies and Gentlemen, STAGE Productions and Snowz collaborate to introduce the most powerful combination of skill with design, to bring you the 2016 Exo Suit!

In 2014 STAGE (P) designed and built the '14 Exo Suit, but there was an issue. Along the way to delivering the final version a cat rubbed up against a paint bucket and totally drenched the suit in multicolor paint!

We spend 2 years cleaning up the mess, and developed the '15 suit, again there was an issue, the ammo for the custom arm weapons had expired (who knew bullets expire!) and the final suit blew up.

So we cleaned up that mess too, and decided on no weapons this time, let the aoumsomesause (look up the word in a dictionary) of the '16 suit carry itself to the finish line.

And as you can clearly see, we crossed it. For now anyway, until a bug comes out, or 2017 comes around, but 'till then we should be just fine. (let me know if you see a cat that changes colors)

But! You ask me, how does Snowz enter this fantastic rendering?
This is a wonder filled question, so lets get to it!

In January of 2016 i was sitting at my desk looking at the Star Citizen website (a truly next gen game) and i found a leak that there was going to be the next great Star Marine show soon (™)! So i ran over to Blender, got a month access to CG Cookie and learned how to make a Space Helmet.

But January ended and guess what the rumor was called off… (sad face)

But, Ah Ha! I could still enter the helmet into SE, and so i began modeling and texturing the design in blender, and when i had almost finished making the textures for the suit, i contacted Snowz, and he willingly took a look at what i had done at that point, and said that he was able to get it in game very quickly. (which is a selling point if i ever heard one!)

And so, almost a month later, with several revisions, head banging (not that type) and other physical and mental pains, we finished!

And so i end my speech, with a word of advice,

“The greatest Exo Suit you could ever subscribe to is the one you are looking at”

And:

“We still own the original title for the only character exo suit in Space Engineers”
