Description
Designed primarily to engage gunships and vehicles, the Mantis is a cheap atmospheric multi-role fighter. The Mantis can engage a range of targets with it's varied weaponry and is designed to fulfil both a ground attack and anti-air role. It is outclassed in both aspects by dedicated Gunships and Interceptors respectively, but can perform both roles at a far cheaper price than two separate vessels. Because of this versatility, it is a popular model with law enforcement and PMCs looking for cost efficiency.

I try to make all my ships suitable for use in survival PvP and I'm trying to achieve some sort of balance between vessels to allow for multiple fleet builds, if you use my ships and find a good combination or a bug/problem, let me know.

@Doctor_Redstone: There is no reference to borderlands... 'we only see what we know'.. your blind to any other use of the term likely because of your age. Plus, borderlands was terrible - why would he quote it?

@ 5URGE3 - Nice job man, ship looks sick. I may give it a try. It really bothers me there are no atmospheric physics lol.

Wow. Big thrusters INSIDE the frame... Such a simple concept, and yet I would have *never* though of it. Looks great!

It's Hyperion Systems. If I'd called it The Hyperion Corporation, that might be considered deceptive, but I didn't. Amongst other things, Hyperion was an ancient greek Titan, is a moon of Saturn and is the name of Jim Raynor's Battlecruiser in Starcraft. Borderlands doesn't own the term "Hyperion" anymore than Sega owns the term "sonic"

If this is designed to fight agile fighters as well, I would add an Atmospheric Thruster pointing up, so this won't start falling when it's upside down.

Nice build, anyway.
