Description
Looking to capitalise on advances in terraforming, Hyperion Systems wasted no time in constructing a light gunship to enforce the claims of the CEU. Light, cheap and carrying significant firepower, the Grasshopper Light Gunship has become a top seller for HS, especially with security forces and PMC looking to maintain order on the new habitable worlds. Whilst the Grasshopper is a powerful weapon against lightly armed miners and prospectors, it is outclassed by military vessels.

I try to make all my ships suitable for use in survival PvP and I'm trying to achieve some sort of balance between vessels to allow for multiple fleet builds, if you use my ships and find a good combination or a bug/problem, let me know.

Looks like a Diamondback Scout... (Sorry it was the only thing I could think of when I saw this)

@phillip: They do, I built a rocket with Hydrogen thrusters and detachable Atmo Thrusts, when they were turned on power consumption jumped to Overload, with them turned off it's 0.01% because the Hydro Thrusters are the only ones that don't need power.

It's battery powered. You can charge it with solar via the connector at the top. There should be enough power in fully charged batteries to hover for an hour according to the GUI. Uranium is rare on planets, so small cheap craft like this one need to take that into account.

i think atmospharic thrusters don't need power i guess they use the atmosphare to power

@MysticalShadowdragon

It could run off of solar power but that's not the case... seeing as there are no solar panels...

Since it doesn't have mods, solar panels, or reactors, it's probably a battery powered ship. They seem to be the trend for planets.

well if its not reaktor-powered... where does it get its energy? and how long can it fly with permanent acceleration?

@Trozzo @5URG3 @Spamasaurus mars planets have no oxygen and aliens planets have low oxygen so you will die slowlly id suggest keeping in that oxygen generator xD

@Spamasaurus Maybe because only earth-like planets have breathable atmosphere while mars and alien types not?
