Step by Step on how to Achieve: "Kickstarter Contributor"

Contained within are step by step instructions on how to obtain the "Kickstarter Contributor" achievement in game (no real money is required). You will need to have a rank of Captain or better to complete all of the requirements for this achievement. In total you will have to complete five missions (2x Private; 2x Lieutenant; & 1x Captian), travel to a hidden area of the HQ, and give $75000 of in game currancy to an NPC. Unlocking this achievement also provides several gun parts for you to play around with.

Warning: This guide contains minor spoilers. Spoiler text was used wherever possible. Hover your cursor over the black boxes to reveal the hidden text.

(Another version of this guide exists, however it is vague and contains spelling mistakes etc. All credit goes to the comment section of that guide where I found all of this information and decided to just make a new guide to share it with all you good people.)

  1. Complete Mission: "Under Siege" (Private)
  2. Complete Mission: "Bridge Failure" (Private)
  3. Complete Mission: "Resistance Rescue!" (Lieutenant)
  4. After completing "Resistance Rescue!", go right of the Base Camp to the Hunting Grounds, and cross the new bridge over the waterfall. Climb down the first ladder you see and traverse all the way to the right of the cavern. Roll right into the leafy wall here and you will fall into a secret area. Travel right and meet/talk with Digger, whose drill is broken. Now to help her fix it, complete step 5.
  5. Complete Mission: "Mineshaft" (Lieutenant)
  6. Go back to where we met Digger in step 4. You'll notice that the cave is now deeper. Go all the way in and talk with her again. Her drill is broken (again). To fix it, complete step 7.
  7. Complete Mission: "Tribute Cave" (Captain)
  8. Traverse back to where we met Digger in step 6. The tunnel is now complete, and it leads to the Secret Developer Room, containing all of the game developers of Mercenary Kings. Talk to the developer named Jonathan, standing at the base of the giant brain. Give him $75000 to obtain the achievement along with some special gun parts.

What gun parts are you referring to? The Tribute Rifle? Kick Master? Sidekick? Pumpkinhead? Christmas Tree? MRDR?

I'm pretty sure you can skip all the talking with Digger and just go there after completing all the required missions.

The first time I talked to her I had already completed "Mineshaft" so my first reference to the cave depth was the step 6 in your guide. I never talked to her before so when I read the guide I started at the step 4 thinking I should talk to her in order to make the quest work, saw no progress on the cave, then I thought the missions should be done in order not playing other missions in between, nope, no progress.

All because the first cave depth I saw was actually the second, if talking to her were required I shouldn't be able to progress as I did.

When I completed "Tribute Cave" then the way appeared.
