Great Flutland -Z-

This map has a large island that has a single connection to the mainland. There is a river floating from a mountain lake, which splits around the starting tile. The land is relatively bumpy, but has plenty of flat space for your city. There is a location for a polder that you can choose to drain, or you can just leave the connected islands as they are. I was inspired by the dual treelines in the map Conwy, Wales by MrMiyagi. My maps often feature treelines on the farmland, but this time I've made several dual treelines that can fit a road in between, which add to the rural look of the island.

Infrastructure
There is just one single highway leading up to the starting tile. However, the highway does have an intersection on the part of the mainland that is within the playing area. The single line of rail goes around the other side of the large mountain. There are ship routes around the island and under the bridge, but not on the river. There should be enough airport locations, foremost around the starting tile.

Water
The river is not really suitable for large amounts of pumps, but can hold a few during the start of your city. At the mouth of the river is a small area optimized for a harbor, and I've added a few gaps for a transport hub (see images in slideshow above). Another interesting feature is the ability to drain your own polder. I've used this feature in my earlier map Mondriaansland, but this time the proces is a bit simpler and the land is not as deep (about 10m below sealevel). To polder the land, dam the small gap and place a few pumps (9 should be good) to speed up the drying of the land. It takes about two days in game for the polder to become dry land. The soil underneath is fertile, and is a reward for completing the draining. However, without the polder the islands still look pretty, so it's entirely optional.

Resources
There are four oil and four ore fields, spread across the island. There is plenty of forestry and there is farmland around the starting tile. The farmland doesn't have any aesthetic coloring in the form of resources.
