ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
The Polish 1st Armoured Division (Polish 1 Dywizja Pancerna) formed in February 1942 at Duns in Scotland leading by General Maczek. At Normandy. the unit was attached to the First Canadian Army. It entered combat on 8 August during Operation Totalize. It, gaining victories at Mont Ormel, Hill 262 and the town of Chambois, during the battle against the Falaise Pocket. It fought all the way to Nederland's gain major victories like the liberation of the city of Breda without any civilian casualties (29 October 1944). In early 1945, it was transferred to the northern Holland and started to push with the Allies along the Dutch-German border, liberating the eastern parts of the province. In April 1945, the 1st Armoured entered Germany in the area of Emsland. On 6 May, the Division seized the Kriegsmarine naval base in Wilhelmshaven, where General Maczek accepted the capitulation of the fortress, naval base, East Frisian Fleet and more than 10 infantry divisions. There the Division ended the war and, joined by the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade, undertook occupation duties until it was disbanded in 1947. The majority of the personnel staying at the exile of the west as the cold war had already begun after the end of WW2 and they never want to get back to their country which was under Soviet rule.
This armor Division skinpack includes units that used by 1 PL AD in NW Europe Theatre Of operations, heavy Armor Churchill's are from 79th Armored Division Horbart's Finest.

I know what you mean, my friend we have common points on that matter , but as i said many times the history always writen by victors and the facts came up as they like , in our subjuct Anders Polish divisions although that were from victors side the history was writen as the common demand comands (papa stalin ;) ). Thank you once more for your obcervations these are vital in our days. Memorial and history must not been forgoten.

I was also a history fascinat but that was a very long time ago but from what I remember I can agree with you on fact that mainstream history is so often so simply; the truth is much deeper one just need to look; and in so many cases it's much more complicated than simply.

My grandfather survived concentration camp, yet his opinion was that soviets were worse than germans and that was common view at that time (I've read how soviet soldiers behave in Poland during war and I can easily understand my grandfather – yet this is probably not a place to go into horryfing details)

ps I'm also currently playing with your skins for OKW (becouse this is my favourite army in CoH 2) - thank you :)

That's why I always care for historical accuracy , i don't have boundaries, I'm open in everything , in my mind after 30 years of studing that strugle for me there are not bad and good , all were bad and good by their side and from the eyes of opponents , the reality is that ww2 is a era that can make the world better but the way in our days from sep 45 till now sawing the oposide because the same and more errors came in place all these 73 years , THANK YOU.

gen.Anters along with 60 K polish left from soiet camps to unite with allies in midle east at 42 after a Churchill demands, these form 2 polish divisions and one airborn brigade, those who left behind form the sosialist Divisions on red army , in a army that look away at aug-sep 44 whwn warsow uprising came at place , letting german criminal formations to massacre the uprisers. History is not a pleasand area , many secrects may reveiled if someone studied it.

@dzieckowojny Thank you very much for your coments about that historical facts, I also like to mentined that recently I was study again the history of Katin massacre, the trouth behind lies, and I realise that Polish along with Greeks were the most misguided people in ww2, they used both by british (churchill) and Soviets (stalin) and both sides advance polish missery on their behalf.

After war Polish bishops wrote letter to their German's counterparts „We forgive and we ask for forgiveness”.
