Descriere
Adds the supersonic crack to the vanilla distant fire sounds.

This addon includes modified sound files for:

- Mosin
- RPK
- M40a1
- Galil
- AK-74
- AKS-74U
- AKM
- SKS
- Sterling
- MP40
- MP5k
- M1A1
- RPG
- RPG projectile flyby
- AT4
- M4A1
- MK18
- L1A1
- FAL

- Makarov
- M1911
- M45
- Model10
- M14 EBR

Note:

All bullet sounds were recorded from syrian and ukrainian war footage.
Sounds will not be heard if the shooter has equipped a suppressor.
Compatible with most existing sound mods on the workshop.

Yep, I snd_restart all matches because I have always run sound mods for many years, and do not use voice chat. Nor do I play on custom servers, just Hardcore co-op. While it is possible some other mod I have may be conflicting, I'm not willing to troubleshoot which one/s specifically it is. I was able to confirm that the "ear rape" sounds as they're often refferred to were only occurring after distant fire sounds, and the issue stopped after unsubbing this and switching to a different distant fire mod. It was usually immediately noticeable upon joining a game, not some obscure issue that rarely occurred. If it's not happening for you, it's probably just my subscribed mods.

Thank you for making them, I do like them. I will probably end up trying again some time cause they're pretty dope. :steamthumbsup:

Okay thanks, btw try snd_restart and validating game files also could be conflicting custom server content

Amazing mod. I was playing checkpoint on Bhuriz, sitting in the little radio tower with a 249 covering my team's advance. I could really tell the difference this mod makes when Insurgent RPKs started laying down fire on my position. It was terrifying. 10/10 good mod, would be cool if you could add more weapon sounds, but I'm sure finding good sounds from war footage could be difficult to get them to match eachother in quality.
