Another UPDATE!

Here are the changes

I added in a night vision component to shadow form and changed the way that sanity works in shadow mode. You lose sanity very very quickly during the day, default at dusk and gain sanity in the dark. Dragons also love being in shadow mode in the caves.

Tweaked the fire breath for all characters. Especially Xcho, where things slow down 10x when they are hit with an ice ball. The radius of effect is also larger.

In giant form, shadow ring now does damage like a ground stomp and I increased his health so that giant form is a little bit more reasonable with large mobs.

Increased damage in nightmare mode. Now when wielding a dark sword in shadow mode you are thr ruler of the shadows.

Here are the Character profiles.

Xcho: Xcho loves the cold and hates the heat, thus he gains a sanity boost while cold but has a sanity drain while hot. Use your thermal stones to stay cool!!! He has the ability to breathe ice and wont ever freeze. He is the King of all dragons.

Saphira: Saphira is Xcho's soulmate. She loves the heat but hates the cold. She can breathe fire and shares all the powers that Xcho has.

Alduin: Alduin is Xcho's cousing. He loves the rain which gives him a sanity boost depending on how wet he is. He is neutral towards heat and cold so they don't affect his sanity. If hit by lightning he will glow for two days and attackers will be shocked if they hit him. He will also have a speed boost while charged. He breathes lightning

Loki: He is the son of Xcho and hasn't learned any powers yet. He has lower health, sanity and a smaller stomach but he does boost the sanity of those around him slightly. He is still a child so he is smaller but he loves shadow fuel which gives him a higher boost when eating it.


Here are the special powers that are now available.

Dragon Claw
Toggle and then use right click to use. This attacks a single character with vicous force and deals x4 your original damage. It starts out on a 60s cooldown but decreases as you level.

Dragon Breath
Toggle and then right click targets to cast Fire/Ice/Lightning breath for Xcho/Saphira/Alduin. In default form this does a single burst but in giant form a volley is breathed. A special thanks to DarkXero and Sarcen on the Klei forums for helping me figure this out.

Shadow Ring
This dragon shout throws back all foes and gives them a speed penalty. This is great for large groups of spiders and other mobs that are not allowing you to escape.

Default Form - This is the main dragon form where you will spend most of your time. Hitting is a little slower but you pack a pretty good punch. These dragons are tough. Balancing still may need to be done. Since they are dragons they are immune to overheating and can withstand open flame. Since they are born from the shadow world they can eat nightmare fuel for a small boost in health, sanity and hunger in this form. I've also incorporated a lot of code from Extra Equip slots by xVar's in order to fully implement the character, especially the transformations.

Flying Form - In this form you speed is greatly increased. It takes some energy to get into flying form and you lose hunger at twice your normal rate. In this form you can't pick things up because they are too far away and you can't equip anything. Very hazardous to flying. You can't eat in this form either since you would get bugs in your mouth. In this form you pretty much can only fly. So fly and explore.

Giant Form - This is the aggressive form of the dragon. They grow to immense size but they can only grow to the size of their stomach. Because of this you can actually end up the size of a gnat if you run out of hunger. Because you are so big your max hunger is increased immensely, including your health and sanity. Being big is a task though so you drain hunger and sanity at an intense rate, lasting only a few minutes. If you run out of sanity you can't hold your form together anymore and you will transform back to your default state. Because transforming into a giant is a big deal you have to sleep and get your sanity back up to max (has to be max when you wake up) or else you can't transform again. You attack power is increased proportionally to your size as well as your ability to chop and mine. You're huge though so trees will just collapse under your feet. So will walls, your fire pit and science machine so be careful where you transform. Nightmare fuel is your friend in this mode. Since your sanity is based upon how much shadow you contain this can boost your sanity to prolong the time you are a giant.

Shadow form - Because you were born from the shadows you can pass back and forth at the expense of your life source. Be careful though, staying in shadow form slowly drains your life so don't forget to watch your health. This form helps immensely due to the fact that you will go crazy often using your giant form. In shadow form you can't interact with the real world, that mean no cooking, no eating real food, no fighting real creatures etc. The real world can't interact with you either. You do however have a boost against shadow creatures so that you can survive their onslaught. This also helps you to get the precious nightmare fuel that not only heals you in shadow form but increases sanity in giant form. The only items you can equip in this form are the dark sword and the night armor.
