As You can see, I used a photo made during one of my trips to Novgorod (I live in Moscow, it is 400 km west to it), so there are cameras, name shilds near the door etc.

So, Murka is a very common name for she-cat in Russia. Then, the phrase "Кошка Мурка" can be translated as a female version of the word tomcat.
