Project: Shadowmancer Ep.1 - The Screaming Fist v1.2

Descripción
Project: ShadowMancer is a fan adaptation of William Gibson's book, Neuromancer, into the Shadowrun Returns engine. This episode, "The Screaming Fist" covers the opening chapter(ish) of the Neuromancer story.

**Required Dependency (be sure to download this BEFORE playing Project: ShadowMancer)**

More Stairs and Doors by Ferragus

Some of these maps are imported from the following UGCs (you DO NOT need these to play ShadowMancer):

Sprawl Sites by King Schiebi

Shadowrunner’s Apartment One.Eight by CRB82

What started out as a simple exercise for me to get familiar with the SRR editor is taking a life of its own. This is my first ever UGC, so it is quite rough around the edges. There will be some erroneous typos, and weirdness, so please feel free to comment below or in the discussion threads with feedback! I pushed this version out because I am fairly happy with what I have at this point, and I want to gauge interest.

If you want more informaiton about the progress of Project: ShadowMancer, check out the development blog here.[www.project-shadowmancer.tumblr.com]

I am not affiliated in any way to William Gibson, or his work of Neuromancer. This is a fan project, and I do not own any copyright on Neuromancer.

Very short, and exceedingly on rails. No real options to do anything but follow along, mostly conversations with few options.
You get a neurowhip, but are unable to equip it. Not that it would matter, since the only real-world combat is with Molly Millions, who is EXCEEDINGLY combat proficient (in the books) .. I don't know about in-game, but in the books her reflexes are wired to the gills and she has extendable razor claws. .... And really, there's no reason to fight her (not that you'd stand a chance) but all you're trying to do is flee and escape.
Interesting attempt, but falls pretty flat sadly. ....... Also, I'd have prefered to see no metahumans. Just straight up William Gibson cyberpunk.

Neuromancer and the following books of Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive, are a fantastic trilogy and i advise all shadowrun fans to read all three.

Neuromancer is a really good book. Whether you play this mod or not you should read Neuromancer. Neuromancer CREATED the shadowrun world.

I've never read Neuromancer, so I went into this just as a Shadowrun mod. I found it to be pretty boring. Most of the scenes were just "go from one place to another" without anything to do. I bought a gun, but then didn't actually get to use it and was stuck with a matrix attack (in the real world?) and my fists. All of the combat scenes lacked cover. At one point, I attacked my pursuer and got her health down, only to find out she was invincible. The Matrix run was far too easy and there was an optional section that was entirely pointless. And I was confused as heck when in the end, "Molly" was the one who was attacking me and then when she came to my room, my character seemed to have forgotten that.

Maybe this is more enjoyable if you've read Neuromancer, but for someone who hasn't, I can't recommend it.

Ever since I took up Shadowrun I've been toying with the idea to make Neuromancer into a campaign... and then I found this. Awesome! Looking forward to trying it out!

This is pretty awesome! I just kind of wish that it was a bit closer to the book (IIRC, Case never participated in Screaming Fist), but it does kind of make sense, as the gameplay would be kind of boring without the combat bit.
