Smooth Progression

Description
At the moment, it only does those 1 thing:
* It divides by 2 the population requirements of milestones.

The mod is fairly simple at the moment, I'm waiting for the API to become more open.
Basically, what I'd like to do in the end is to remake the progression system fof C:S. I don't want to activate the Unlock All mod because I like having to unlock some things, it makes the end-game more interesting, but I feel that at the moment the early-game is too boring because the unlocks are too restrictive.

In the end, the mod will:
* Reduces the population requirements of mid and late milestones
* Make some early buildings unlocked by defaults

This mod works for me 100%. The only major DLC I do not own is Airports.

Just what I was looking for. I can confirm this still works, excellent with Realistic Population.

I havn't tried it since around 5 years. I have no idea if it still works, unfortunately :(

Hey does this still work?

Can you make one mod what make the requirements needs duplicate or be configurable? Changing that will make the game more realistic... This will also make biggest areas (neighborhoods) with low residential and comemrcial buildings.....unlocking the high residential and comercial zoning when a city only have 7000 is so unrealistic and pathetic.

what you got else planned for the mod? will there any structures added into the mod or this is more like tweaking existing structures in the game?

@Eistein - Yeah I had tried that for a couple games but I found myself over extending and spending way too much money to the point where I'd bankrupt my town before it could even grow...lol I've switched to just using this one and keeping it slow and steady :)

If I find how to update a mod in the Workshop (first time I use it :( ), I'll push a new version where roads are unlocked by default.

I'll give this a try with a new city. My biggest gripe (and it's really only minor) is that you're limited with your road building tools when you start and then you have to turn around and upgrade or change roads once you have the additional options unlocked.

The two mods are perfectly compatible.
This mod will at least unlock the roads. I don't know if it will unlock the first milestone (School, Firemen and Clinic iirc), but I think I'll put that in a separate mod.
