DD:E is just ... I won't say anything ...
Haven't played DD2 for a while (I've had access before EA, councilor) but what they did wasn't even close to DD1. Too much kind of a co-op, like panzerknacker said you were forced to play with others. The hero deck is such a pain. Oh well, many things I could argue about ...

I started to give up with this company when an official banned me at the forums for things like *rolleyes*. The ban got lifted but I felt like to be in a kindergarten. However, I finally gave up with their EA disaster, DD2 was always announced to be Free2Play. Even one day before the EA release they said the game will be F2P. What happened next day? We all know it. My friends I regularly play with boycott it and I completely understand their frustration. A company full of lies.

Well i've seen the progress in the last months and i'm not impressed at all. The "entrance" with the double-tavern stuff is already a pain in the rear - the weird system of leveling, you can't bring lower leveled heroes to some maps, and so on - a LOT more like DD1 and a lot less other stuff would do DD2 some good. Also, i do not like the forced co-op gameplay. DD1 was most fun if you could beat level alone and in small groups of people who know each other for the very hard maps/challenges. And the maps should be more symmetrical, asymetrical maps are ... meh. Ah well, i could go on for hours why DD2 in its current state is not even getting close to the awesome game that is DD1.

Actually, I disagree, they are making the game similar to DDE and DD, at the same time. They are working on pets right now, and it's more cooperative. Grind is the same, it's not like DDE, where the gameplay is trash, dyes, visible armor and all that. No, thats nasty. They DID say they want to add new content, and then begin to add more content from the original (Bonus maps, and such.) They're doing a pretty good job on it as well.

Good times. Too bad DD:E is horrible and DD2 doesn't look like it's getting anywhere close to the originals charme and fun levels. :/
