Results best seen in DX9!
Enviroment changes in Better Vanilla Sky - Distant Star :

) Fog color changed to black / Fog removed
) Adjusted the skybox to be less of an eyestrain with fog changes
) Sun size reduced to represent a distant star / dwarf star
) Ambient lighting adjusted to match; very low light conditions
) Shadows are near pitch black

NOTE: Better Vanilla Sky itself has default max ship speeds.
For an all-skybox compatible speed mod, use Better Vanilla Speed

Any know how remove sun??y disable sun rotation,but sun light all space,i have normal light

Ok, I finally got around to testing this today. So:
1) Old worlds may have no lighting at all, has to do with the updates Solution: Make new world :)
2) If you used any other skybox to make your world, and then switched to a different one, the lighting will not change unless you make a new world.
3) The sun in DX11 in Distant Star is wrong and needs fixing
4) Tonemapping might be contributing to you seeing little difference in the lighting, try turning it off.

I'm gonna also try to clean up the vanilla skybox to look better in DX11 (i.e. get rid of the blue gamma)

I can confirm that this skybox/iighting does not appear any different from default in DX11

This doesn't seem to affect the lighting anymore in DX11. All three versions (this, regular, Darker Shadows) have the same lighting as default. The only difference is a slight darkening of the skybox.

i think this is the skybox im looking for. if its to dark then im looking for one a little brighter. i gotta try it first

I put up a script that is compatible with all BVS versions and all other skyboxes:

Large ship max is 128m/s and small ship max is 256m/s
