Introduction
This guide started to be a simple guide to fix the game's 'Mouse Acceleration' malfuntion, but I considered to make something more of it as I gather more useful information to fix or improve things for the game.
I will be updating guide with useful information, tips and fixes for the game. That said if anyone knows something useful to be posted on the guide or needs any help with something in speciefic I will be glad to help if I can.
1. Mouse Acceleration Fix [FIXED]
This issue as officially been fixed on a game patch. (Version 1.5.0 released on 08/12/14)

NOTE: This guide's previous fix around the issue should now be obselete
2. Skip Intro Movies
To skip the intro movies when launching the game follow the following steps:
  • 1 - Open Steam and click on Library.
  • 2 - Right click on Far Cry 4 and click on Properties.
  • 3 - Click on 'Set Launch Options...'.
  • 4 - Write -skipintro on the text box and click OK.
3. Black / Grey Screen Fix [FIXED]
This issue has been fixed with an official game patch. (Version 1.4.0 released on 24/11/14)

NOTE: It seams that are still people complaining about this issue, which problably most of these people have pirated copys of the game. I'm not acusing everybody of piriting the game just because you are still experiencing the issue, because if you do you should either try and follow the note #4 or check if your game is up to date.
4. Mitigate Stuttering Fix
To fix this issue you must do the following steps:

Find GamerProfile.xml file in the following path:
[WINDOWS] C:\Users\*YOUR NAME*\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4\*WEIRD NAMED FOLDER*\GamerProfile.xml
Edit the file with Notepad, or any other editing program it suits you best or that you use.

* UPDATED - 24/11/14 * Find the DisableLoadingMip0 variable and change it's value to 1. Also change GPUMaxBufferedFrames to 3.
5. Black Shadows [FIXED]
This issue has been fixed. (Version 1.3.0)

NOTE: It seams that are still people complaining about this issue, which problably most of these people have pirated copys of the game. 6. Running the game with DirectX9
In Far Cry 3 it was possible to run the game in DirectX9, in the game settings you could find an option to run the game either in DX11 or DX9, but Far Cry 4 doesn't, but still you can run the game in DX9 by following these steps:

Find GamerProfile.xml file in the following path:
[WINDOWS] C:\Users\*YOUR NAME*\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4\*WEIRD NAMED FOLDER*\GamerProfile.xml
Edit the file with Notepad, or any other editing program it suits you best or that you use.

Find the variable UseD3D11 and change it's value to 0

NOTE: Changing this may improve your game, increasing it's performance with higher frame rates, but with a few decreases in quality aspects. In Far Cry 3 it was also a good thing to do to fix small techinical or visual issues that people had, who knows it might fix some of your issues in Far Cry 4.
Important Notes
  • NOTE #1 | Missing GamerProfile.xml
    If you did not find this file on your computer that is because you are using a pirated copy of the game.
  • NOTE #2 | The X fix on this guide does not work
    I do not promise that all these solutions will work for everybody, because some of them will not, and those that I am sure that do not work for everyone below their section/solution there is a note informing you about that.
    And the fact some of them do not work for others does not mean it doesn't work for you, so I suggest you to give it a try and test it yourself.
  • NOTE #3 | Pirated versions of the game
    For those fixes that I provide here, which I'm sure Ubisoft have fixed them on an Update, will have the tag [FIXED]. This said if you are still experiencing these issues then problably you either do not have your game updated or you have a pirated copy of the game. This said I will not offer you any other solutions.
  • NOTE #4 | Update your Video Card driver
    It's one of the most important things to do to avoid any kind of issues in games. Will problably fix the most common problems.
  • NOTE #5 | Update your Sound Card Driver
    If you wanna have the best audio for your computer in general, you should always check this too. This also fixes any game audio issues you might experience.
  • NOTE #6 | Check the game's System Requirements
    You should do this before you even buy the game, because if your system it's not even close to the game's requirements then it's obvious you will have lower frame rates and you will be forced to play the game on lowest quality. If you don't know how to compare your system with the game requirements then you should talk to a professional first. (It's free anywhere)
  • NOTE #7 | Can't find my problem on the guide
    If you have any other issue which is not provided here, than It must be something rare to happen. What I can suggest is for you to verify the game files on Steam or Uplay hoping that any file is missing and maybe fixes the issue, if that still not helps then reinstall the game.

I seem to have a very odd problem and cannot figure it out.
Has Anyone else experience this?...
Whenever a door is opened 'the game hangs for about 3-6 seconds'. When the same door closes 'the game hangs again for about 3-6 seconds'.
Instantly after accomplishing a karma event 'the game hangs for about 3-6 seconds'
When looting chests 'the game hangs for about 3-6 seconds'
When skinning game, when searching bodies, etc, etc.. There is almost always a 3-6 second hang-up. It never crashes.

Windows 10, i7, 48GB RAM, Asus Matrix 980 4GB.
Everything is up-to-date.
I just can't figure this one out guys.. Any help would be extremely appreciated :carbonjames:

Can you disable shadow on another way? I can't disable it via in-game setting. Because on another game, Assassin's Creed Rogue I can disable shadow and it increase fps drastically.

For far cry 4, not for fixing shadow bug, I intend to increase and stabling my fps. Also my Far Cry is legal directly from Ubi Connect not pirated.

Nevermind, I found it. In C:\User\user\Document\My Games\Far Cry 4\bb-78d99c-fb9b\GamerProfile.xml

I turn off shadow quality and shadow cinematic quality. It works, but it becomes flashing, so I disable other quality and shadow kept on low. It looks like shit but my fps become stable

I set:
EnvironmentQuality="off"
PostFxQuality="off"
WaterQuality="off"
DepthPassQuality="off"
VegetationQuality="off"
LightningQuality="off"

i have a problem with the game. it wont start, like i click the play button and it wont login into the game. i already have this problem since last december.

Far cry 4 wont launch on my steam deck any more. I played it last night and it crashed a few times and when I tried to launch it today I'm met with a prompt that says 'your game needs access to some uplay services. You can download the uplay pc installer from uplay.com' . The obvious answer would be to do the download but why has it stopped working when it was running smoothly before? has anyone else had this issue or resolved it without the download?

hello i got the problem with lunching fc4 i played this game long time ago and ent it without problem but when i lunch it on steam, steam close the game can u help me guyz?
