Randomness
You can create your own merc by answering 12 questions.
You may have to try more than once, because the same 12 answers can lead to different results.

There is a random component in the merc creation, if two or more perks get the same score with your answers it's random which one of them you get.
Perks
Adrenaline Rush: After a melee kill 4 APs are gained.
Aim for the stars: Longer range for guns (+2).
Decapitator: Increase critical chance (120%) for shotguns.
Doctor: 10 bonus to healing.
Don't Mine If I Do: Using grenades costs 2 APs less.
Field Medic: Bandaging cost 50% of the normal AP.
Find the soft spot: Critical chance increased when using melee attacks (120%).
Finisher: Get an accurracy bonus (10) when attacking adjacent enemies.
Gunslinger: Reduce reload cost by 1 AP.
Hawkeye: Increased chance (120%) of spotting and detecting the enemies.
MacGuyver: Repair 2 durability units per tick.
Maniac: Burst 2 extra bullets with SMG's.
Mechanic: 20% chance to not use the repair unit.
Monetary Aid: 20% chance to not use aid kit unit.
Naive: Moral Pool increased (120%).
Over prentious: Gain 2 extra AP. Physique Rquirements: 0.
Spec Ops: Incresed stealth bonus when equipped with melee weapons (120%).
Sleight of hand: Inventory manipulation cost reduced by 1 AP
Smoke and mirrors: Sneak Bonus 120%.
Spotter: Increase viewcone range (3).
Spray and pray: Accuracy bonus (10) when shooting automatic/burst.
Teamplayer: Never accidententaly shoot your own mercenaries.

This is the build I got for stealth melee/shotgun:
Smoke and Mirrors (lvl 1),Find the Soft Spot (3), SpecOps (6), Adrenaline Rush or Decapitator (9)
1C,2A,3C,4B,5A,6A,7C,8D,9C,10D,11A,12C

There seems to be randomness when there's a tie for the lowest ranked perk, in this case Adrenaline Rush and Decapitator. I couldn't decide between them, so it worked out. Thanks for the guide.

i was just wondering could you or anyone else give me a hand working out the code to keep specops, smoke and mirrors, and find the soft spot,
but switch sleight of hand with Adrenaline Rush.

keept trying to do it myself, but most of the tries i keept
switching softport with hawkeye,
sleightof hand with finisher
and fubar 'ed the perks up once xD
