UPDATE V4 2015.2.04: Improved the holographic versions by making the artwork outlines thicker to prevent mip-mapping issues.

UPDATE V3 2015.1.20: Made textures DXT5; minor visual, holographic channel and wearmap updates. (see change notes)

PWN'D: A shortening on the word owned.

I never got into graffiti tagging as a nipper, in fact I'm not sure I've ever held a can of spray paint. I compensate for that these days by getting up to no good in Photoshop. The way the word pwnd (or pwnt) has changed through the years [starting off as a natural typo to becoming a shortening and accepted word] in itself makes its meaning esoteric, which is why I thought it would the perfect word to visualise in graffiti lettering, which itself can be difficult to decipher.

To achieve this look I did a lot of research studying how taggers drew letters. I settled for a slightly 3D style -- in a slightly chaotic arrangement, incorporating arrows into the letterforms; I first sketched it out over and over until I chanced upon a doodle I liked, then scanned / recreated it on screen, keeping all letters separate so I could move them around the canvas on the fly and fiddle with them. An aerosol texture itself is not very sticker friendly as its essentially random noise, so I've kept the aesthetic as solid fills, but then utilised an aerosol pattern I recreated from flicking paint on paper and duplicating for the transitions in the holographic versions. I also used brushes for the black linework.

Comes in three flavours: Paper backed, Holographic (Full colour) and Holographic (Silver). The reason for the two different holo versions is that one is significantly less bold.

Let me know which one you prefer, and also check out my workshop!
