Thanks, PK
when placing now it is acting as if "N" mode is on.....it is "off center" of the HUD reticle and showing the block and a blank green box, it can still place just fine coz you can see the "solid block" and then place that.
{does not need to be updated for DX11}
also would like a block like this for Grinder and Welder.
@happyjack27: I agree that we need a way to tell which way is the front, because what can't be gathered by the DFG is spawned as floating rocks, that can damage the ship if spawned inside of it.
also so we can tell which way the distortion field is being emitted from i placed 10 on pistons all around my ship and now cant tell which one of them is destroying my ship as i think one or 2 was placed wrong way round
did notice that even though it is collecting, the numbers do not change while looking at inventory, but the numbers are there when exit out and re enter the inventory, don't know if it was like this all along. it is not a big issue jest giving an fyi just in case.
LOVE this mod! {for reasons}
This mod is small ship only and the radius is about 20m
The distortion field is projected from the center of the block, so it has no proper "front side".
There is no block damage, just asteroids/ore, so you can place it behind collectors, to gather watever ore it misses.
All sides are conectable through conveyors, but it just lets ore pass through, like drills.
The radius is huge (don't have the exact number for small / large versions), but around 5 blocks (small ship size for the small ship one, large ship size for the large ship one) in radius, in the shape of a sphere, centered on the distortion generator.
It works for the new asteroids (tested on old and new asteroids), but due to the voxel recalculation lag, it is better to go more slowly (extra slowly for multiplayer due to the added net lag).
