USMC Series - Security Skins

Description
Bring the United States Marines into action against the Insurgents with a set of highly detailed Security team skins that remain as faithful to the real life combat outfits as I could manage.

Features:
-MARPAT Desert Camo
-MARPAT Woodland Camo Backpack
-Coyote Brown Body Armour
-Misc Pouches in Coyote Brown, Sand, US Woodland Camo
-Medical Bag with Cross
-African American Marine
-Fingerless Gloves on Specialist
-Green T-Shirts
-Balacalava in Sand as per FROG suit
-Better Beard on Specialist
-Name/Blood Tags for Marines
-Eagle, Globe & Anchor on Caps
-Higher Detail Armour for Heavies
-Dust and Dirt Finish

This is my first mod for Insurgency and my first ever skin mod for a FPS game. I'm no expert on the United States Marines and I had to do plenty of research both reading and looking at photographs, so I apologise for any inaccuracies.

The marines in these skins represent those from the war in Iraq.

Note: To make player character skin mods show in-game you must either wait for the map to change, or rejoin the server. This seems to be fixed in recent builds, at least on NWI servers. If the skins still do not show restart the game (I have rare occasions where mods fail to load, and restarting the game fixes it).

News - 7th Aug 2014

It is finished. I can't count the amount of hours that went into making these skins, but it has been fun and I'm really happy with the amount of people who have enjoyed using them. Thank you very much to everyone who has downloaded, rated or favourited the skins.

I'm now moving onto other things, hopefully you will see more stuff from me in the Insurgency workshop in the future.

This final update sees an improvement in the armour on the heavy/medium which always looked substandard compared to the specialist/light class. You can now see the cloth tabs clearly like on the specialist/light armour thanks to changes to the colour and normal maps.

I've also worked on improving the bag carried by the specialist and medium (sniper). I added ruffles to it to make it more bag-like rather than the boxy look it had before. Also, I improved the straps and tabs to make them more visible.

The skins got a layer of dust and dirt, I tried not to overdo it, so it is not really obvious, but you should notice it and it definately helps the marines look more at home in the game environment. Also, the skins have been sharpened and noisened, again this noise helps the skins (especially the heavy/medium) look more at home in their environment.

Until next time!

Wow! 10 years, thanks for dropping by, glad people are still enjoying this since I haven't supported it in ages (I haven't played the game in years)! Thanks to everyone who downloaded it and rated it over the years, please feel free to do whatever you like with the files since I haven't supported it in ages!

Cheers!
