This is the hud compass mod Created by Zelious

As such all credit and ownership goes to him.

I created this version because i needed a hud compass with correct direction to help my players figure out the custom map we play on. As such this came to bear.

And i thought i am probably not the only one that want the direction to be correct again.
And decided to upload it to the workshop.

I hope you all enjoy!

And once again i do not own this mod simple modified it.

Is there any way to get a darker background for the compass bar? It's basically impossible to read against a daytime sky.

@Olypilot it seems like Keen messes with the directions every major update, no idea why

Did Keen swap the directions again with the latest update? I created a new server Star System and went to a spot I know well. According to the Compass what was previously East is now West and what was North is now South. I am able to verify the directions are mixed up because the Sun now rises in the West. Also according to online maps that are available the directions are mixed up. Definitely a mind bender.

Fun Fact: When I made the original compass mod, the directions were the way they are in this mod, and only after the fact did I realise that I had them the wrong way around.

The reason for this is that Keen made the sun rotate around the wrong way (relative to the games coordinates system), so what should be east was west, west was east, etc.

I also managed to make it S, E, N, W instead of N, E, S, W. That was because I quickly flipped north and south right before publishing due to the aforementioned issues; and managed to forget to correct west and east accordingly. In that time the mod was used by over a thousand people for almost two weeks before it got noticed. XD

@smokie you have to have the compass in the load order as well. its the same as the original version

How do you turn it on? I subbed to Text HUD API and this mod but do not see a compass on the screen and yes I scrolled through HUD display (H) and UI (I).

north was south, east was west. so if you have a custom map with like a website to look at for the map everything was inverted
