Ideology Simplified - Rancher

Description
This mod simplifies the "Rancher" meme into the "Farm Life" meme. No longer the "weird animal-sacrificing anti-vegetable cult", this new version is made for those who love games like Stardew Valley.


- "Ranching" renamed to "Farming"
- Impact changed from "High" to "Medium"
- The meme now has nothing to do with diet preferences. Be a vegan farmer if you want!
- Dropped the mandatory animal sacrifices and symbol burning
- For the crop lovers, this meme unlocks the Animals AND Plants Specialist Roles.
- Moodlets based on the number of animals dropped.
- Stat offsets changed to give small bonuses to both plants and animals.



Why did you make this mod?
I love the idea of Ideology, but in its current state, I find it very restrictive. This is especially true when playing multi-ideo colonies. My hope is to make Ideology simpler, with a focus on rewarding the player rather than restricting or punishing them. Each meme should be exciting in its own way.


Doesn't this make the game too easy?
I don't think so. But that's ultimately up to you.


Is this mod compatible with x mod?
This mod is a simple XML patch. It should be compatible with most mods.

This mod is straight up common sense that should've been in the game already. I dont know what they were aiming for with the weird cowboy cult thing. Thank you and looking forward to using this

Sure you can edit the About.xml file to add 1.4 to the list of supported versions, but folks letting the mod author know their mod was appreciated is also fine. Why gripe about it?

It's just a patch file, edit About.xml and it'll be good for the mod menu.

Just a thought, but this makes it so the Farm Life Meme isn't incompatible with the Animal Personhood Meme anymore in function, but they are still marked as incompatible. Is it possible to change that/is an Animal Personhood Simplified mod on the horizon? I've always found the way Animal Personhood handles meat eating to be odd - I think it would make more sense to not have a diet restriction at all because making it so you can't/shouldn't slaughter or hunt already severely limits access to meat. Why can't I eat animals that went manhunter and I had to kill anyway? Or that died of old age etc and I scavenged?
